Name: Rezavres Ethedel
Race: Human
Role: Captain
Ship: Godsplitter (other spoiler)
Skills:
Inventory: Captain's Clothing.
Appearance: A little taller than average but stronger than his looks suggest; thigh-length straight black hair tied in a braid, young face and light-green eyes with gray speckles. He is usually seen in a black commander longcoat trimmed red reaching the top of his feet and also donning a black officer cap of similar design and trim.
Bio: Rez does not remember much of his life before being captured except for small excerpts due to attempts of mental indoctrination an trauma, but he knows he used to be happy. The sour remembrances he holds after being taken, though, still stain his memory very clearly. When he was naught but a child, many common people of his small civilization in an almost-forgotten galaxy sector were taken from their homes by a raid sponsored by a Conglomerate of private companies interested in mantaining a free workforce of slaves.
He was kept captive in inhuman conditions for more than a year, enough time for his already shoulder-length hair to grow unimpeded, which only caused more trouble for him. He was beaten, he was dragged around and he was called a sissy girl. The boy, who now had already turned into a teen, feared for his life. He feared for what the slavers would do next. He feared for the destination, where the crew said they would be treated even worse than the dogs they already were.
The lack of a real jumpdrive on the old, decrepit ship (they only had following jumpdrives) made the trip long, but when the hunk of metal finally approached its destination, a revolution erupted inside the ship after a new attempt of violence by the slavers. Both sides sustained heavy losses, but the captives prevailed, with one of them tearing his former guards to shreds in extreme glee. That person was Rezavras.
The following weeks saw fierce battle between the Planetary Defense Forces of the puppet government of the nearby planet and the former captives, which had taken the ship. They fought with dogged efforts, and even while being an overall asshole, Rez was able to seize control of the Resistance due to his masterful control over the ship's guns and ferocious melee combat style. The fact he could drive the obsolete piece of metal when needed and make emergency repairs also helped.
The amount of blood spilt in the fire exchanges, plus the fact that the captives had managed to capture a smaller ship with an unexpected boarding action, had such a devastating effect on the regular troops' morale that the Conglomerate offered freedom to all the slaves and a job to the youth.
His team killed the assassins dressed as emissaries and then the companies finally offered the real deal. He graciously accepted it and proceeded to get a custom cruiser-type ship made for him, recruit a crew and then put his plan to betray the Conglomerate in motion, which revolves around the complete destruction of their business and their lives.
As of this moment the first phase has started and after destroying several key space-stationed structures of the Conglomerate, at least the nearest enemy ship, a cargo liner carrying supplies and with a small escort of fighters, is closing in to check on what has ocurred. His recently hired crew will be put to test.

>Yes, he is a very good ship gunner/heavy weapons user and melee fighter, due to their instinctive nature (heavy weapons being mostly about carrying or maneuvering huge guns and shooting than aiming). His lack of training, though, makes him unable to use a normal gun even if it is needed to save his own life. He is also kind of an ass, although an accomplished tactician. FTW.
