On a different forum, I realise now how awesome Bay12 really is. What do you guys think, glad to be here and not on other forums?

Comparing us to a forum whose invitation includes the phrase "I'll ban you at the drop of a hat" is probably not very instructive. At least find us an actual forum to feel superior to.

Well we are superior to most forums, healthy community, fair admins and humour.

Something Awful is pretty cool, dunno why you'd compare it to whatever else.

Remember that SA are the ones who made Boatmurdered. And Headshoots. Also Syrupleaf.

I wouldn't call a community almost split into three parts healthy (Anyone remember that whole IRC drama thing a year or two ago?), though we do have a lot less moderation just popping out everywhere than most large internet forums.

I wouldn't even call bay12 the friendliest either.

Well, I'm glad you like being here and all. But why are you linking to Minecraft Mod community drama lamamas?

Please Note, if you did a google search of kingfisher1112 and found this thread, um, yea. You're welcome to join the community but dont join to post because of this guy posting about community drama of another community here.

SomethingAwful is amazing.  A majority of my entertainment comes from their output.

The only thing I can parse from that thread is that it has to do with factionary modding communities perhaps relating to Minecraft?

Remember that SA are the ones who made Boatmurdered. And Headshoots. Also Syrupleaf.
They are. The majority of quality LPs come from Something Awful.

Man, I miss Retro. :(

Bay12 is nice enough, though. It's not nearly as cliquish as most smaller forums (like the one the OP linked) but also doesn't have the caustic and chaotic nature of the larger forums. It's a good middle ground.

I don't think it's necessarily healthy to talk about how much better we are than this or that place though.

No, let's all stand around talking about how awesome we are for a while longer.  :P

Though Lake 34 is a much better forum than this.

What i meant in this thread is that I am glad to be a part of Bay12, especially after that thing in the link. How does everyone else think about these forums?

I don't quite get the essence of what took place in that forum. Could you give us some background info?

PD: I find it bizarre that people are willing to pay to post in the SA forums when there are so many free ones around.

PPD: So it's some kind of Minecraft modding community. Still flipping back pages in that thread....

PPPD: Ok, so you weren't at your brightest with your first post. Nonetheless, I find it funny that they banned another user after you for being active in this technic forum thing. I guess those guys ARE an odd lot after all...

It's not ABOUT THE LINK. I REINFORCE THAT IT IS ABOUT THE AWESOMENESS OF BAY12 AGAINST OTHER FORUMS! EXAMPLE.
