Pretty much. Absorbing everyone gives you plenty of identities and mass to split with (speaking of identities, I'm surprised no one has wanted to go to the bank yet...), but it only works for so long before you essentially get bored. Assimilation takes longer, but gives you more options without needing to spend (as much) power, and someone to delegate to that isn't a follower who can and may infact run off on you if the fit hits the shan. Update next post.

You send out all 6 of your Followers to investigate various things, and to recruit others as discreetly as possible.
In the meantime, you act more specifically this time and less chaotically to make it less tiring to control we, and split into 12, with Chief Adams' help to let them in. While the 11 are in there (You and your original officer form sitting back at base), you take the time to make a less problematic time of it next time you require the police's help, by requisitioning (and punching unconscious anyone who is too curious) a good stock of uniforms, more ammo, and the unconscious ones to cover your tracks up. The Chief is understandably miffed that you're running off with police property, but its for the greater good (or will be, after any group saying their cause is the greater good is forcibly removed from the equation and the Singularity AI is dealt with) and he eventually backs down out of tiredness with the telepathy. Afterwards, you go obtain a few lesser of the townies for an experiment in telepathy. Either it'll end in gibbering failure on their part, or you'll have the beginning of a usable strike force, either way. Your followers have yet to return by dusk, but you decide to give them until full dark before tracking them down.

I know I am, I just don't know a thing about how multiple withdrawals work. Haven't done much with banks. And theres plenty of ways to crush the guy besides banks, we've already lost one us. But if you say so, I'll let the dice pick.

Anyway, the officers wake up, and decide to follow you since they have no idea where you'd come from. The captured ones you begin to experiment with. The first one you just outright mind crush, and as you'd expected, that fails at having anything useful result besides being able to defenestrate someone. The second two, you forced the wrong thing with, and also defenestrate them, though they continue the loud act anyway, due to the shack only being one floor and the window being a literal hole in the wall.
Eventually, you manage to succeed with the last four, starting a rather tiny squad of the Indoctrinated.

Are you sure you're fine with letting the other bank in town temporarily be on fire as well? Because that was seriously some bad luck on that roll, and rolling it again right now was not much better. (twas a 9.) Being near both of the banks at the time they spontaneously catch on fire is rather conspicuous, even with the police chief covering for you.
