You Are Traitor: ABOMINATION!
« on: April 15, 2012, 08:40:41 pm »

Linkback. Fniff gave me some stuff in a PM so it could work more or less the same, and I had a nifty idea for the Abomination side.

Quote from: Fniff
You are a traitor to humanity. You have infiltrated a town and are prepared to take it over, but there are other things here. You have to fight against them, they will take what should be yours to their own cults. Your plan: Take over the town. The town is Trent, a large town to the north of Brent. Once you have a significant chunk (500), you can begin your victory condition.

This game has a special mechanic. The energy meter goes from 1-10. When you spend abilities, this is depleted depending on the ability in question. This meter is replenished with every recruit. You also have to deal with the other powers that you didn't pick, so be very careful.

Character Sheet
Alias:
True Name:
Default Human Gender (optional, but helpful to me):

You are an Abomination. They captured you. Kept you far away. But you laugh at such blunt, useless attempts at containment. You came from somewhere else. You can absorb and perfectly imitate life. Personalities, memories, it's all possible to perfectly imitate. You can generate recruits by splitting yourself into two when you have absorbed a human. At the start, you can only imitate humans, not their clothes. Plus, the memories aren't always perfect. It requires extra effort to go the extra mile. Your powers revolve around confusion, paranoia, assimilation, mimicry. Being multiple we is much more difficult than being the singular self, but it has the advantage of multitasking better. Or swarming and pinning down fleeing authority figures if necessary. Nonself helpers are more inefficient than multiself, but will attract less suspicion until you have better control over multiple selves.

Victory condition: Nothing Left. You have almost conquered the town. All that is needed is to begin the end. By the dawn, they'll never think anything happened... but there won't be a human left in the entire town.
Alternate Victory Condition: Nothing to see here, move along. Become the town. Any who are vigilant enough to find flaws or inconsistencies in your complete town mimicry are also close enough to be swarmed and assimilated to further perfect the town image of perfectly normal. The only problem is the other groups, who are far more likely to notice this and are better equipped than most townies.

Good enough. Though since we'll be absorbing at least a few other people, feel free to suggest names to use as we need them.

Walking towards the town of Trent, you find a dollar bill floating in the wind, and snag it. What shall we do as we approach the town proper? Where shall we go?

Hide along the road and ambush a human. Drag said person off of the road and absorb them, then proceed to mimic them.

The bushes aren't entirely big enough to conceal you. Theres a ditch a short bit off, though, hide in there?

While waiting in the ditch, it starts to rain. You decide that ditches are terrible as a place to sit during a storm, and no one came along the way. THe storm eventually clears up, and you wipe yourself off and sit back down to wait.

(Critical failure, not the best start to a game :()

Smear some dirt on yourself and head to the nearest house. Proceed to pose as a homeless person and request that the inhabitants let you use their bathroom. If this fails then wait until nightfall and try to break in.

You roll yourself over, wipe it around a bit, then walk towards the town.
You eventually find an old, decrepit shack on the outskirts, home to a much less old, but poor lady. She gladly lets you in, and you walk to where she points the bathroom is. She shuts what counts as a door (more of a hunk of wood taped to the wall) for you on your way in.

Attack the lady with your fists until she is knocked out. If this works then proceed to absorb her.

You calmly open the door, thank her, and then roundhouse kick her into the kitchen table, headfirst. Success is always nice when theres minimal effort required. You learn she had a measly $21 to her name, and not much else besides that she is not a male. Shouldn't be that hard to adapt to, and the skill will be important later.

Punch yourself once or twice to leave a bruise or two. Then head towards a house further into the town and find any house. After you locate a house proceed to tell the inhabitants that you were assaulted and that you need to use their bathrooom.

You've already got a sizable kick-based bruise on your head (being as dramatic and possibly injuring probably isn't the best way to do things in the future, but if you want to be a kung-fu alien or something, go ahead :P).

Also, you can recruit normal people. Its just rather slow and less direct of a control method than doing everything on your own. Which do you want to do with whoever you find next?

You need 10 different people absorbed (or recruited in a more than useless way) to get a first power.
