I found a useful tool on the intrawebs today. Screen ts HTML
Apperently it translates the binary into HTML. looks really useful for sharing layouts for your fortress or the carnage of an adventurer hits town.

I'm going to test it out. Pah! never mind, this needs another tool too.

Won't work, Dwarf Fortress doesn't run in console mode.

PTTG?, Bay Watcher, cancels have smartness; job item misplaced.

Incidentally, since all current tiles are based on hex characters, perhaps some add-on to the map archive would allow text export? (/hint)
