We have five players now which is enough for all the dukes, assuming we will use the 1066 start.

Can everyone please post their favorite realm and the second favorite so I can divide them between the players.
Note that the Duke of Novgorod is the second son of the Duke of Galich and is thus going to inherit half of his land, as the third and last son of the Duke is a bastard.

If you still want to join (we won't start for at least a couple of days) you can. I saw there was a sixth Rurikovich ruler, an independent count in Crimea. He probably won't be fun to play as but you only need to survive until someone dies with multiple sons becoming Duke.

My preferred duchies:
1) Rostov
2) Ryazan

edit: I kind of jumped to the conclusion that everyone wants a 1066 start. If I am wrong on that part please say so.

I'm all for a 1066 start.
My preferred duchy would be Novgorod, but I'm fine with anything.

If it's on weekend, I'm up for it. Any duchy would do, I do love to play the underdog.

I'm dibbing the Ctimean count. Gonna make him Emperor of the known world.

On that topic. Are we using any mods?

I have used Hamachi before, I think, but I'm definitely not familiar with it. What will we be using it for?

I am very familiar with the accursed binary heap that is Hamachi. (Fully updated and everything!)

Slap me into any county you wish, I'll probably be the least competent of all.

I'm not up for it this weekend, but I can join in after this weekend. I don't care who I am, should be fun no matter who.

Well, that leaves us with the following player/realm combinations:
Dutchling: Duchy of Rostov
Barbarossa: Duchy of Galich
Drakale: Duchy of Polotsk

Rakonas: Duchy of Novgorod
Samia: Duchy of Ryazan
Scriver: County of Korchev

edit: see OP

I just gave Drakala and Barbarossa their duchies as they are respectively the weakest/strongest ones of the three remaining three.

Cicero will play a duchy created by gavelkind succession. If there isn't one you can either play as a Rurikovich count (most likely a vassal of another player) or you can just play a duchy of another player who couldn't make it.

@Scriver:
No, we won't use mods.

Time:
We will play every Sunday afternoon. Or morning depending on where you live. I will edit the poll so you can vote which hours are too early for you to start. The time we will quit will depend on the circumstances, but I assume we will play at least an hour or two every week, excluding an hour of trying to get it work and waiting for people.

Dang...I'm sorely tempted to cave and get CK2 just for this. I took the Prince of Polotsk in CK1 and turned it into the Holy Orthodox Empire. We actually extinguished Islam (within the confines of the CK1 map).

There is no duchy left though, so you'd have to stick around until gavelkind does it's job. Unless there are more new players as we'd need to start at a later date than.

Also, I kind of hope you misread the poll >.<

edit: Starting in 1074 will give us two more duchies so that fixes the problem. Swedish civil war is over and Christian Iberia will be united. I don't think much else changes in this scenario.

edit again: I just read you don't even have CK2 yet :P. I can assure you it is well worth the money!

Polotsk sounds good to me. I don't know what the intended RP level is, but I intend to play as much in character as possible. So depending on my ruler traits I might be a total dick :p. I won't purposely ruin anyone's fun however.

I initially gave you Polotsk because you wanted to be the underdog and it was the smallest Rurikovich realm (aside from Scriver's county). There are two new smaller duchies available though so you might want that if you really want to start weak.

I sometimes try to role play but I usually forget all about my characters traits halfway through his rule. Role play is optional. You may stab someone in the back and blame it on your character being 'ambitious', but don't except another player to join your war just because he is supposed to because of his character's traits.

With RP is assume you mean how you play in game, as I am not going to rememeber whether you are my cousin, brother or uncle and call you that every time I want to say something xD.

Yeah no worries, I just mean how I deal with issues in game not how we interact verbally...

As for the duchy Polotsk is my preference, but whatever works. With Gavelkind inheritance it will get chaotic fast anyway.

Alright, all sounds good to me. The screenshot in the OP says 1074, by the way.
