So Amazon just frighten the absolute shit out of me.
I got an email saying "Your Amazon.com Promotional Credit, Thank you for purchasing from Amazon.com. Your recent order was ..."
Instantly I thought that my bank account had been compromised by some sort of spyware and I went hunting through my bank transactions trying to find out what was going on. 

Turns out I bought a 2K game ages ago and the poorly worded email was about a $5 off promotion for some shitty basketball game. This is one of the few times I've been so both massively relieved and angry. 

Here's the full email. I point out that I bought the game in May, largely forgot about it and haven't used Amazon since. Would a date on when I fucking bought the previous product be too much to ask?
