The amazing sale is still up. I don't know how long it will last.

Plentiful Paradox Package for $12.49.
1. Crusader Kings II
2. Magicka Collection
3. Magicka: The Stars Are Left DLC
4. Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter
5. Swords of the Star - Complete Collection
6. Victoria II

I'm really starting to enjoy Crusader Kings II after criticizing it earlier. If that's all you want, it's on sale for $9.99.

What ticks me off is that all of the DLC for the game seems to not warrant being DLC. Take Ruler Designer for instance. For $4.99 I can "Customize your portrait, Name your Dynasty and design a Coat of Arms, Assign skill points and traits
Create a spouse and offspring, Replace a historical character with your own." Or the Songs of Faith DLC.  "Songs of Faith contains two new songs, totalling 10 minutes, composed by the talented Andreas Waldetoft. These songs give more flavor to the player as you play characters that are devout and religious." Really? They're selling this.

The Ruler Designer is kind of disappointing in my opinion. You start out with "default" relationships with everyone (unless it's bugged for me), which can make it less interesting at the beginning. I think it's a neat idea, just not satisfied with how it actually works out in the game.

The songs are not bad, but I think they're only there for the big fans that can afford something like that. I agree that it's a bit odd -- and a bit expensive -- but it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, so not having it isn't going to punish you. Which is a plus!

If you're a Song of Ice and Fire fan, don't forget to look into the Game of Thrones mod for CK2. CK2 Plus is another great one.

Crysis 2 is, at the moment, available for $8.99. There doesn't seem to be a digital version, but even so, that's a pretty decent drop from its normal price of $39.99.

You know what's even more amazing about the already amazing paradox deal? 23 USD off both EU3 Chronicles and HoI3 Complete discount lasting till beginning of July.

Amazon was smart enough to discount the complete version of EU3 and decided to leave chronicles at full price, same with HoI3, only discounting the base game. If they discounted them, negative prices for me dohohohoho.

Anyway I'm keeping a close watch on these 2 games, see if they ever go on sale, even cheaper prices hohoho.

I should also add that you get $23 off EU3 chronicles and HoI3 complete. Unfortunately they aren't on sale though, I was hoping to stack them.

However, EU3 (not-so)complete and the HoI3 base game are on sale. I don't think the credit applies to those though.

why the hell did I just repeat myself

Anyway, the keys I got for SotS2, CK2, and the Magicka DLC activates on Steam. I gave away my magicka key so I can't say, and the person I gave my SotS key to said that it doesn't activate on Steam, just a heads up.

Yeah, and I already have EU3 complete and HoI3 complete via Steam.

My gods...if when I buy this, I'll actually be legit on of all the Paradox stuff I play (well, other than the original Victoria and CK). Feels good.

Anyways, I've noticed the key patterns:

keys for activating with paradox has the game's name as the beginning, with a total of 5 hyphens

keys for steam have 3 hyphens

apparently sots 1 has 4 hyphens, I'm not sure which game service uses 4 hyphens for their keys.

My Victoria 2 copy wasn't compatible with Steam, but I could activate it at paradox directly. I activated CK2 and SotS2 on Steam, then used the key Steam gave me (5 hyphens) to activate the game at paradox.

Just a heads up.

This helps when activating retail keys on Steam, remember it may be outdated and not include all the games:

If you really really want Victoria 2 on Steam you might be able to contact Paradox, explain your situation and see if they'll give you a key. I heard they're a rather nice bunch with a great support team. Pretty sure you can also activate any key on the Paradox site and download them DRM free.

Hmm...yeah, I've been unable to register GalCiv2 on Steam, even though it's registered on Stardock.
Also had problems with certain Paradox games that I bought and registered via Steam, but then can't register over on the Paradox forums.

Does anyone know if Hearts of Iron III Complete includes each and every single DLC?

Also it seems it's not activateable on Steam. While I love Amazon, I prefer to have my games centralised on a single platform.

Wow, I've been wanting to buy CK2 for a while, but didn't want to pay full price.  This is great!
