Unicorns are grazers with a high graze value. Giant versions?

Giant Unicorns, unable to sustain themselves on grass alone, have developed an insatiable hunger for dwarven flesh, not unlike the Mares of Diomedes.

The mares of diomedes might actually enjoy a bigmac.

My sister's arabian mare likes to steal ham sandwiches, and eat grasshoppers, so carnivorous horses are not a stretch to my imagination.

making giant unicorns would be pretty easy.  Many of the new giant versions of sponsorship animals have short raws with a tag that draws everything from their smaller cousin and giantifies it.

Gigantification through the creature variation raw removes all pet and trainable tags, as well as vermin and the like.

Giant creature unicorns created this way would have identical graze values to normal ones. Attack values would likewise be unchanged, as far as I know.  Damage needed to kill would go up from the minimum 200% size increase.

Still, I have never seen nor heard of giant unicorns.

Should giant unicorns be tamed by an ultra-mighty dwarf then ?

More to the point, most of the animals introduced before v0.31.20 have no giant versions.

Unicorn men possible?

Possible, but also don't exist without modding.  The giant and animal man versions of creatures need to be specifically spelled out in the raws for each type, it's not something that automatically gets made for every creature.  Unicorns were made before Toady decided to make animal person and giant variants of every new creature, so there are no giant unicorns or unicorn men.

Bah, this certainly complicates my idea of starting up a unicorn farm.

Either I'll have to have huge pastures, or... just not farm them.

Unicorn Cheese sounds interesting though.

Edit:  Never mind, the wiki says that unicorns are untameable.  Wait... dragons that can be tamed, but not unicorns?   :(

It really goes to show who's more dangerous.

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

Giant Unicorn Husk Sponge
It has 2 body parts:
Body
Horn

It can't be killed, it is mobile (somehow), and it wants you dead!

It reminds me of a 3rd edition campaign I played once with crazy cross-bread characters. Half Dragon Infernal Ghostly Litches kind of thing =P Of course we beefed up all the NPC's to make it a challenge.

So in other words, an Infernal Half Dragon-Elephant-Bronze Collosus-Whale-Giant Cave Spider-Sponge-Unicorn-Litch(Husk)-Ghost! aka a forgotten beast. =)

But I do like the idea of a sponge, with a horn, and some kind of fire or freezing attack that doesn't kamikaze. It needs mobility though, or a ranged attack like re-growing the horn to shoot like a quill.
