I quite enjoyed SWTOR, I think mainly because I refused to play it as an mmo instead playing it as a singleplayer game. I turned of the chat and ignored other players as much as possible while I just went through the storyline with my Sith-Hating Imperial Agent. Unless the game dies in the near future I plan to go back and go through one of the republic classes stories as well.

It's truly mind-boggling how many things can be expressed via RCT2 screenshots.

At first I thought they were already shutting it down and I was surprised it sunk that quickly.

But nope, just more flailing and shrieking

Oh God, I am so grateful my coworker just left the office before I cracked up at that picture.  Glorious.

I tried that, but for me the story alone really isn't worth the monthly subscription, nor the annoyance of having to ignore so much of a game in order to enjoy a part of it. I did that in WoW for way too long already.

Wow. Can you actually, deliberately kill your customers in that game? That is ... rather dwarfy. As is said customers' apparent disregard for their own safety. :p

Hell, if you want to, you can pick them up and drop them in the water, and watch them flail around for a few tens of seconds before they drown.  Customers do get smart and avoid the hell out of lethal rides though (or your whole park, if you push it too far).

EA Bioware can officially suck it.

In one of the worst business decisions ever made these brilliant folks wrote that they are rewarding their most valuable players with a free 30 days.

The most valuable players:
People who pre-purchased
People who have subscribed since the start
Only people with lvl 50 characters and an active sub.

That's right, they said that people who achieved lvl 50 and are considering leaving the game due to lack of content are THE MOST VALUABLE customers.

What a bunch of asshats.

Sounds more like a marketing plea deal...  They could have done more... but someone there does not want to give too much.
To current level 50 gamers: "Please stay."
To everyone else: "Look, we are good peoples, we are giving away free time!"

And yea... the game could have been better...  There seems to be a giant disconnect between development and what is happening on the ground...
Level 50 PvP was just a horror story, 5 Republic versus +100 Empire on that PvP planet...  (On my server...)  And changes made that problem worse.

Just... yea...

The best bit about that whole PVP debacle was that the people on the test server/forums wrote many lengthy posts saying "if you make these changes, this will happen... it'll be bad" so they ignored them and went ahead anyway. Then they said it was working as intended. Then threatened to ban people for playing the way the game now rewarded them.

it's smart to try to keep the disatisfied lvl 50 players. It's mind-numbingly STUPID beyond all measure to tell everyone that lvl 50 customers are more valuable than loyal subscribers.

Oh god, that screenshot.

I don't have anything on subject to say, but that screenshot made me laugh. A lot.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.
