are tantrums not punishable now?
« on: April 11, 2012, 08:49:02 pm »

i just had a spiral, and the only people marked in the justice screens are the murderers and a production violation. there was a lot of building destruction and fighting, but no justice assigned for that.

is this new, or just a bug?

for some, but a lot of these attacks and vandalism happened on my main fortress floor, with plenty of dwarves around. and most of the victims survived, wouldn't they be a witness?

not to mention, the murders that were reported were fist-fights. as soon as somebody died, then it was a crime.

Tantruming dwarves dont count as witnesses I think.

No one to report to? Not sure why it wouldn't, the holy raws dictate that [ASSAULT:PUNISH_SERIOUS].

tantruming dwarves might make sense, but there were non-tantruming dwarves right in the same room. but, there were quite a few tantrumers.

not to mention, building destruction was done right in front of my mayor. it was his room. didn't do crap.

I think building destruction doesn't really matter to them.  I mean, unless you get really unlucky it should be just a mild nuisance.

For the combat... well, did the tantrummers actually injure anyone?  I remember noone caring about my Axe Lord swinging at and missing her comrades.

also, a bit of a related question...

is there anyway to force the feeding of prisoners? 30+ idlers, and prisoners are dying in their cells.

I'm not sure how feeding works (sounds like it mostly doesn't), so I always put stockpiles of prepared-meals and booze within reach of each chain, along with a bed.  My prisons are rehabilitation centers, I want my dwarves to leave happy!

Yeah, having a hissy and knocking someone's lights out is no longer an offense in my fort, either.

I suppose, given the atrocities accepted as commonplace in dwarfdom, it makes sense, but...  the raws, yanno.
