We even have trees that attack people.

'Even though they don't hunt in packs, these stinging trees are pretty vicious. The sting is delivered through tiny silicon hairs that cover the leaves and the fruit of the plant. You can think of the silicon hairs as tiny fibres of non-transparent glass. Dr. Hurley found that the only way she could handle the leaves safely without getting stung, was to wear incredibly thick and bulky welding gloves. These silicon hairs penetrate your skin, and then break off. They're so tiny, that often the skin will close over the hairs. So sometimes, once you've been stung, you can't remove the stinging hairs.'

So yeah, the tree basically stabs you with glass shards that stab you forever because you can remove them because you're inside your skin. Also, it's a neurotoxin. And it's killed before.

On the other hand, Australia has cuttlefish. CELEPHODS TRUMP ALL!
Also, to get the tread back on topic:

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

Bill Bryson wrote in "In A Sunburned Country", that there were three kinds of creatures in Australia:

Poisonous, Dangerous, and Sheep.

Where can I acquire the seeds of this tree?

It looks like we might need another dose of Orbital Friendship Cannon in here, GiH...
Also, this thread has been derailed so many times I'm not sure who's actually doing the derailing anymore.

Well bay12 is the land of beneficial derails after all.

It just seems like a lot after than one post about dwarf archers turned into a seven page long argument over traditional British longbowmen and then into a fight about which style of sword was the best.

It's like Bay12 is a magical land where everything is railroad tracks and there are junctions every fifteen feet, just waiting to send random threads way... WAY off course.

I hypothesize that it's largely due to any questions posed in the OP or on-topic discussion being dealt with swiftly, at which point onlookers become bored and begin discussing some tangential topic of discussion they spot in the thread, leading them farther and farther astray. Needs someone willing and bored enough to actually do !!SCIENCE!! on the forum itself and critically analyze threads that have been derailed...

Horses are scary man. I'd say I've got Equinophobia but I consider it rational, based on the time when a horse bit my sister on her flippin face. Bleeding everywhere man. That and the fact that they could trample you into the dust!

And they hate me, attacking and kicking at me every change they get.

bastards. all of them.

Aww, but these horses don't want to hurt you! They want to hug you!

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Actually, a horse is extremely unlikely to step on a prone body.  Even in the heat of battle, trampling is uncommon.  Bulls though?  Those fuckers will stomp ALL OVER you!

I once slept over at the place of a woman who kept a horse. 7 AM in the morning after drunken lovemaking, she woke up to go shuffle shit in the stall. We had a falling out not much later!

Ponies are the chichuchua purse dog of horses. Pegasi and unicorns are the effeminate versions of a horse (though the phallus implications of the unicorn is up for debate).

The only acceptable color of a horse is black. The only accetable eye color of a horse is red.  A horse should be silent, loyal and gloomy.
