Depends on the spider.

Brown recluse? Killed without mercy.
Wolf spider? Permitted to live. They eat brown recluse, beetles, and other pests.

Spiders aren't evil. I am.

Amusing story about my time at the quivera scout ranch... (don't ask. It wasn't voluntary.)

You wouldn't believe the number of sand scorpions we put in the scoutmaster's blankets...........

im merciless when it comes to arachnids of the 8 legged, stingless persuasion. the arachnaphobia doesnt help. although, the GCS seem to do a bloody good job at tying invading trolls up so my dwarves and CC's can tear them to shreds. much love for scorpians though

Both are Arachnids. I will not have this family of the animal kingdom fight itself!

Spiders.

Are not insects. But in a war they'd probably side with the insects. Spiders traitors, they'll betray us and they'll make us...

HUMAN SLAVES. In an insect nation. Woahahahaaaetc.

THIS IS PROPAGANDA!

Do you think that when it comes down to it, the spiders would side with ants?

What about the termites? Wasps? The nearly dying kingdom of bees?

Silly human.

The spiders are your friends.  See, we share a common enemy: parasitic wasps.

See, the wasps hunt the spiders.  Stab them with their long ovipositors, shoot in a single egg, that eats from the inside out, controlling the spider with biochemical subjugation.

The wasps aren't always so particular either....  your soft, warm, human body will serve for their brood just as well.

Nay, the spiders are a valuable ally, if only due to the common foe.
