I get two different kinds of strange sensations when reading through my own old posts.

The first one, disturbing enough in and of itself, in that sometimes it's like meeting a whole different person. As in, meeting an alternate reality yourself (or rather, your past self).

The second one, which is more insidiously worrying, is when I find a couple of posts which are clones of each other and are separated by years inbetween. It makes one wonder if old RPG characters repeating over and over the same lines are so unrealistic, after all, since we end up doing the same thing, albeit with a bigger repertoire.

I feel different kinds of odd feelings when reading through older posts of mine.

The first one is disturbing enough in itself, and it's sometimes like meeting a totally different person. That is to say, meeting an alternate reality version of myself (my past self).

The other one, which is more troubling, is when I find a series of posts which are very similar to each other yet separated by months or years. It makes one wonder if computer game characters repeating the same lines over and over are so unrealistic, since I apparently end up doing the same thing, just with a bigger vocabulary.

You're not kidding.

I know. I'd blame it on the threads that PTTG chose, but obviously, I'm not going to besmirch his honor further.

You don't use freedom Penguin. First you demand it, then you have it.
No using. That's not what freedom is for.

It's a bit cramped, I might have to knock out a few walls, install a skylight, y'know.

I approve of this collection so far. 2007 was quite the year on the forums, and this topic reminded me of it. '08 was full of shenanigans as well.
