Horokomoi is taken aback by the question.

"Really? I have been much too busy in the past few years..."

He grins.

"It's good to have you on board, cousin. You have been like family in the past few years. Don't think I'm not grateful for that. Anyway, back to business. When would you like to start? We could even start now, if you so wish."

((Now I realize that I should of put more background info on my character.))

Io wonders what the shopkeeper could possible be selling. Most likely just food and tea. "I don't suppose you have bread and tea for sale, and perhaps some weapons or tools? Mine are becoming a tad bit worn." That was a lie but it was a good reason as any other. "I also don't suppose you know any of the men or women who are looking to travel around a bit? I could use additional hands for trades." Again a lie, but considering the shopkeeper might know more people than Io himself, it wouldn't hurt to ask and worse case scenario he could always just use them as pack mules.

Argh sorry guys thought I had already posted....

"So it seems you've finally gotten serious," Matsuo smiled and gestured towards the injured farmer. "I am going to make you regret that."

With a massive swing try to split the Bo staff and then go for another lethal attack.

Chapter 10: Leg Stabbing

The shopkeeper replies, "We have as much bread and tea as you need. As for tools, we come stocked with axes and pick-axes. As for companions, you could find Johnny the Cyclops at the tavern around here. Mysterious fellow, but he's said to have been a real sharpshooter from the United States."

Spoiler: Sarawa Io (click to show/hide)

Nikolae feels that the man is not letting out everything he knows. "Are you sure that is the right reason?" (1-1) The man's face goes pale when Nikolae asks this. He, and the other men, run away. Nikolae is left perplexed. Then he hears the sound of approaching footsteps. "Hey, you ask too many questions. Why don't you find somewhere else to poke around, white-faced bastard?" Nikolae turns around to see three men, all armed with pistols, coming towards him.

Spoiler: Nikolae Kriegsmacher (click to show/hide)

Shimizu recalls what was the reason he brought his unit here in the first place. He remembers it clearly. His superior general had given him the order to stop a group of Imperialist Line Infantry from scouting the surrounding area. And it seems they have done so successfully.

Shimizu gives the order to go home. His men escort the prisoners away, keeping their rifles locked in place. Shimizu picks up the spoon from his deceased assailant. His troops march back down the mountain and too a nearby village.

(Luck Roll: 2)

As they walk home, Shimizu's unit is brought to a halt as a group of trees has collapsed in the road.

Spoiler: Shimizu Katsuo (click to show/hide)

Oushi-Tadai grins. "I'll be happy to start right away! So, what is our first course of action?"

Spoiler: Horokomoi Orogami (click to show/hide)

Matsuo puts his muscle into one more slash.

(1 vs. 6)

He steps on a sharp rock and stumbles a bit! This gives the Bandit Leader ample time to attack Matsuo.

(6 vs. 3)

The bandit leader swings his Bo into Matsuo legs, and with a painful snap, Matsuo's Left Knee is dislocated!

(Endurance Roll: 3+1)

Matsuo grits his teeth and regains his stance, but this isn't good news for his Agility. (-1 Agility)

The Bandit Leader grins and thrusts his Bo at Matsuo again!

(1 vs. 5)

This time, the Bandit Leader's attack is expertly deflected by a quick swing from Matsuo's Sword.

(4 vs. 3)

Then Matsuo points his Sword downwards and stabs the Bandit Leader in the Right Leg! He howls in pain and backs up a little, his pants starting to stain with blood.

Spoiler: Matsuo Satoshi (click to show/hide)

The men all cheer. Akira hands out 100 yen to purchase the group a free glass. One of the men stumbles over to him. "Ya know Akiraaaaaaaaa- we had our doubts *hic* about you, but now we can see you is a swell mannnnnnnnnn!"

Spoiler: Akira Hiroto (click to show/hide)

Nikolae raises an eyebrow. Impolite people those are, and the ones coming towards him even seem to have guns to shoot him. He turns his back and immediately starts to run away, making use of his superior speed. Fighting is alright, but not on those terms. He does not want to gamble with Lady Luck.

The prussian escapes the area, running for a place where he can divide and kill each enemy separately. He tries to reason with them while running, and if it fails, he keeps legging it. Before making a turn on the nearest corner, he makes use of his rifle's longer range over the pistols to shoot one of the men.

Edit: GM, the title is the same as the last turn's.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Akira rides their growing fondness for them, asking "So, the Shutomo, what do you all think about them?", then agreeing with whatever they say, trying to make them even more fond of him

Io asks how much each item is so he could do proper supply management. After finding out the prices, tell him that I will be back later when I leave the village. For now Io heads to the tavern to find this American sharpshooter. When Io goes into the tavern, he looks to the barkeep for a moment before looking for an American. If Io found one, he would talk to him. "So I heard you are a real sharpshooter." If the American responds, Io would then say, "Care to make a wager? I can make your alcohol here free if you can out shoot me. Also I may have a job for you as well." Smiling at the American, Io trusted in the information that he could gain a comrade here.

Shimizu sighed. Luck was not with him today. Nevertheless, he orders five of his soldiers to scout around for other routes. Meanwhile, he examined the tree blockade. Would it be easy to remove? Did it seem dangerous to try to remove it? Were there any signs of it to be caused by Imperialists or other enemies?

((Oops, didn't know this had updated.))

Horokomoi stroked his chin.

"Well, we have two things we can do. We can either wait here for the English to arrive, or we can go out and do some fundraising. I prefer the former."

If he agrees, head to fund raise until evening.

Method:Go to to the more upper class parts of town (About where we are now) and set up a stand. Oushi-Tadai will run the stand, whilst I shall attract people.

((Also, this will be one of my first rolls! Squeal!))

Chapter 11: Business

Io inquires about the prices. 3 days food and drink is 900 yen. An Axe is 1000, and a Pick-axe is 1250. Io hops on over to the bar. It's a brown, dusty building. He steps inside the Western-styled establishment. He sees the bartender cleaning a glass. He looks around for the legendary American. He sees a man in a chair in the corner, his feet propped up onto the table. His face and body is undoubtedly American, especially because of his hat. Io approaches him. "I hear you are a real sharpshooter. Care to make a wager? I can make your alcohol here free if you can out shoot me. Also I may have a job for you as well." It's at this point Io notices the man is wearing an eye-patch. When he hears this he grunts and gets up. "Money sounds good." His voice is gruff.

Spoiler: Sarawa Io (click to show/hide)

Nikolae decides to flee from this encounter at first. (3+1) Nikolae gets a head start on the men, who yell at him and begin firing their pistols. Nikolae pleads, "Can we talk about this?" (5) Surprisingly enough, the men stop, though their weapons are still out, but at not pointed at Nikolae. One of them says, "Why are you poking your head around in our business?"

Spoiler: Nikolae Kriegsmacher (click to show/hide)

The five men salute Shimizu and go out to find alternate routes. He looks at the tree to assess whole situation.

(Intelligence Roll: 2+1)

Judging by the way it is splintered, Shimizu deducts that a storm took it down. But how to get around it was another question. On it's side, it was several feet tall, well over vaulting hight. It would also take most of his men in order to move it.

Spoiler: Shimizu Katsuo (click to show/hide)

"I say we start raising funds. If we are to be serious, the Orogami needs to be properly based in finances." The two of them finish their tea and head up-town. Oushi-Tadai begins setting up the stand with wood he has brought. Horokomoi decides to start attracting people.

(Charisma Roll: 2+1)

Horokomoi begins attracting a crowd. However, they are skeptical of his claims. One man says, "How can we be sure to trust you with our money?"

Spoiler: Horokomoi Orogami (click to show/hide)

Matsuo pulls his blade back, ready for a counter-attack. (+1 to counter.) The Bandit Leader staggers forward, with his injured leg, and swings his Bo at Matsuo's head.

(3 vs. 4+1)

Matsuo bats the Bo aside, giving him an opportunity for a free attack!

(3 vs. 5)

He swings his blade, but the bandit ducks underneath it. Matsuo turns to the offensive and thrusts at the Bandit Leader.

(6 vs. 4)

The blade goes into the man's sides, breaking through his ribs with a craacckkkk! A few inches of steel get lodged inside of his body. Matsuo withdraws his blade and the Bandit falls to his knees, as blood pours out of his ribcage.

Spoiler: Matsuo Satoshi (click to show/hide)

The men all slur out about the Shutomo. Akira can't make out any particulars, but he can tells they all like the Shutomo.

Spoiler: Akira Hiroto (click to show/hide)

Io sets up a bottle for a man, and points at it. "If you can hit that you are hired. However the closer you are to it, the least likely I would be willing to pay for drinks and such. Just show me your best." Io watched on in interest to see what this sharpshooter could do to impress Io.
