Can we stop talking about crapping on rotten corpses?

Wondrous. Now no one is doing their job. I have 60-80 people idling while I have a donkey and five dozen puppies assigned to a pasture and naerly three dozen things to stock pile. No one wants to help.

Yet no one is doing a god damn thing.

Why?

Any ideas?

Maybe an alert issue? Civilian alert is inactive. Is that a problem?

If you aren't getting job cancellations that's not it.

Here's one thing: I'm trying to train these tigers to hunt. I thought I had it! I actually removed it from my post. You know what? Because it was an active task. They were going to complete it. And then, somewhere along the way, they decided that... "Ilral Astodcatten cancelled Train Hunting Animal: No animal." Yet this was AFTER the Kennel was displaying a big ol "Train Hunting Animal R A" Repeating, and active.

Why would they turn around like that?

What version are you using? It sounds like this is 0.34.05. If that is the case, the tigers have all been trained: there are no more non-hunting tigers to train.

I literally just got the tigers from the Elves. They are still in their cages, and decidedly not any form of trained.

The version is v0.31.25... I understand I am seven or so months past due. But still.

I've got dial up. It's hard to download stuff.

I've put that map on hold until someone can figure out what's happening. In the meantime, I started a new map. Placed a custom stockpile. And no one is putting any of the things I listed in there.

Please don't take this as a flame, just as advice. There's nothing wrong with playing an old version, but if you're going to ask for help on an old version ,it's a really good idea to mention it right at the start. I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking you were using 34.07 and looking at it from that mindset. Lots of things, in particular training, has changed a lot recently, so how we would approach the problem would be very different in 31.25 compared to 34.07.

Have them killed. Nothing solves a problem quite as effectively as simply having it killed.

The animals need to be in a pasture where the kennel is. Can't train animals to hunt or fight in a cage.

Civilian alert is linked to a burrow you made and used to get civilians to safety in case of, well, an alert. Hence the name civilian alert.
