I have flux (or so the wiki tells me), I have Iron, I have magma forges, but I can't make pig iron or steel. This is with the latest version of Lazy Newb Pack ([0.34.07] [V12]) and phoebus tileset.

Is my game bugged? I googled the problem and found 2 error reports of people encountering this same problem, but there were no solutions, but I'm not sure if I'm just missing a step or something.

from the wiki, article name: steel:
The first step is to create pig iron:
1 bar of iron
1 flux stone
1 unit of fuel
A power source (1 unit of fuel, or magma)
Produces: 1 bar of pig iron

without magma you'd need 2 fuel, now you still need 1, same for making steel

1 bar of iron
1 bar of pig iron
1 flux stone
1 unit of fuel
A power source (1 unit of fuel, or magma)

Do you have charcoal or coke? :-) You need 1 charcoal/coke for a pig iron bar, and also 1 charcoal/coke for steel.
So in order to make 20 pig iron bars, and then turn those 20 pig iron bars into steel, you need:
20 iron + 20 flux + 20 coke/charcoal = 20 pig iron
20 pig iron + 20 iron + 20 flux + 20 charcoal/coke = 40 steel

Magma forges save you the fuel thing (you'd need 2 charcoal with a normal forge), but you need charcoal as component, too.
