No. A FoS does not require deep justification, it's merely to apply pressure. That you find it so unnerving and offensive, and demand justifications for it tells me it frightened you, as it would frighten a scum who had gone so far unchallenged.

At the time, I took it as a sure thing that Native would flip scum, and therefore we should start poking for the rest of the threats. I wasn't about to FoS everybody, so I started with those who seemed scummier to me at the time. You were one of them. That's all the justification needed to FoS you. Though my misremembering MrD's claim helped, it wasn't the only thing; there was also the funny interactions between you and Imiknorris, the "brother to a townie" thing that still seems oddly unbalanced to me (and thus unlikely), and then you compound it by replying to my FoS with a panicky, overreacting post demanding explanations, plus your N2 actions don't quite pass the smell test on second reading.
So, basically, you had these reasons all along (with the exception of the "overreaction" and N2 action), but decided to only mention the Mr. D thing in your FoS. And, when that turns out to be bullshit, you go all crazy about me having the gall to point that out and say your case, as given, was illogical, bullshit, and I couldn't make sense of what your point was. And then, when you finally vote me, you bring out your real reasons for the FoS.

And again with your attempts to demonize the idea of demanding explanations for arguments and attacks.
All this tells me you are the scummiest at present. Likely Tiruin's buddy who attempted a second kill N2 which backfired, and who was very glad to see Native hang instead (though your Native vote was "rather likely to move", and yet never did; likely hedging your bets to avoid looking scummy by wagoning).
The vote never moved largely because movement depended on my reaction to your response to my stuff about you. You didn't respond for quite some time (you were "unexpectedly away" for a day, according to you), during which Native shot himself in the foot. By the time you had responded, I was in no situation in which I could post, or even read the game. Simple as that.
Again: if you had an artifact, would you have claimed it? Had you used a scroll of self defense, or got a ring of warning, would you have claimed it? Do you recommend town to do so or not? If yes, why? Are you surprised when they lie about them? Would unvarnished truth about inventories be good for town? If not, why demand it?
Artifact: Depends on which one. Examples: Would not claim Brooch of the Phoenix, as that one's purpose is to be a nasty surprise for killers. Excalibur I would probably claim, as a powerful inspect action. However, I would have used Excalibur's king power already by now. I'm not going to go through this with every artifact, but basically, it varies.
Scroll of Self Defense: Honestly, at this point, I never would have used it in the first place (too many good reasons for town to action me/you, and too few townies for safety). I'd claim it, though, at some point, at this stage of the game, to prevent townies from tripping it.
Ring of Warning: I'd claim it.
Do I recommend town to do so: Artifacts: Depends. SSD: At this point, I view any player taking that big a risk of killing a townie as somewhat off-feeling. If used, it should be claimed, though, for that reason. Ring of Warning: Matter of planning/gambitry. Do what one wants, as long as it is intended to help the town.
Surprised about lies: Depends, no, and no.
Unvarnished truth: Depends on the inventories/actions and whether the town can be trusted to scumhunt even with the inventory information.
Why demand it: Standard reasoning for it, as far as I can tell, is to maximize information available to the town. That's pretty much the main reason for demanding it.
