Does anyone know details on quitting production jobs that are still going? The game states that all items already produced will be transferred to the warehouse, including any unused raw materials. However what about the cost? Like if you queue up a giant producing queue, the cost per mat is very small. But then if you cancel mid-way, then what is the real cost now of the units that you have produced?

It looks like it gets recalculated based on the time you had production going for.
I recall cancelling stuff that should have had a certain cost price, then checking the warehouse and finding that they were rather more costly.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Graknorke, i can offer you $10 a unit for any rubber you make.
i can sell you good oil (94Q) for $ 20 a unit and better Chemicals of $1.2 (98Q)
they should bump your rubber up to 37Q on there own.

Though I have recently expanded my factories into making sports goods, so that's something.

im selling rubber by store but supply are rubbish, only over priced bots.
id supply my stores internally but i need all the rubber i make for tires.
Still Urist Salt will pay $25 for any rubber you make.

if you making sports goods im willing to cut you bulk deals on wood, plastic, polyester and fibreglass

That's good since I am pretty much drowning in rubber at the moment, and could do with polyester a lot.

Just buy power. It's so easy to produce that there are companies producing it in bulk enough that even with added value it's still cheaper for you to buy it than to produce it.

Which means about a 233% markup, which is well under what most things go for on the B2B. If you're not running out of plots, especially in the mid game, it's reasonable to suck up a slot with power generation. But once your company gets to a certain size, taking up a plot with an electric plant that you could be using for a higher-level good, or a retail store, can be bad for your bottom line. I think bulking up on electricity that you can feed off of during market fluctuation is probably safer. (Or, have a single power-generating company under your belt to sell to your other subsidiaries.)
