It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Wow, just today I was thinking 'Maaan, I so would like some multiplayer economic simulator with stock trading...' I hope something interesting will be done with the update. By the way, were the 'features' where selling products at double their price gave nearly infinite amounts of money and any attempt at producing stuff instead of importing was met with bankruptcy fixed?

The game was dead for a very long time and the dev appears with an update. Game will probably die again after the dev's enthusiasm disappears.

It'll probably come from the same reasons as last time, stuff getting unintentionally broken and the subsequent exploitation and bitching.  That could be a killer for enthusiasm.

Or who knows... but that is my current theory.

Well, since this is redead and I don't want to start up another topic just to ask a single question, does anybody know of any even remotely similar games (multiplayer simplified stock trading, production and retail companies and so on)?

Important: "Pre-update Update"

There will be a new dialog on 3/31 for picking which buildings you'd like to keep, see below. If you choose to take no action then the system will attempt to auto-transfer your largest buildings. Any "discarded" buildings will receive a refund at 100% cash and 70% influence value.

Changes in the pending update to come on 4/3:

Buildings:
Factory/Stores/R&D gets merged onto one screen.
No more forced page refreshes.

B2B:
Listings and Import gets merged onto one screen.
Added B2B Requests, to be merged with Export.
Dynamic pricing from the NPC Companies - buy more from them, and they will sell more soon but raise the price; sell more to them, and they will lower their purchase price but also buy more; and the inverse.
NPC listings/purchases updates every 15 minutes, no more restocking downtime.

Stock Market:
It might be temporarily disabled for re-write (but for no more than a week).

Misc:
Job privileges changed accordingly.
Changed measurement from SI to US: $3.2 G to $3.2 B
Similar interface, but much improved usability.
Faster speed from the removal of all those bad code.

Eh, don't hold your breath. This game has "will die when dev gets bored (again)" written all over it.

So, like the opposite of what the entire world has been urging USA to do for the last howeverlongthatwas?

Also, I just now noticed that both HnH and EoS (both awesome, but inherently flawed games) rolled out extremely minor updates after a year or more of complete inactivity on the developers' part. Huh.

The developer had some real-life issues to tend with. Personally I commend Scott for taking the time off to deal with those issues.
