[SNIP]

If you want quality plants, you either need to buy water from B2B or invest a lot of money and personal time+energy into researching high quality water then refining it at a water plant.  Something like 30%? of your plant quality comes from water.
Plants don't use filtered water, which is the only kind that can be upgraded anymore.
Water has been 0% of the quality for a long time.  ;)

from some testing it appears that if you change the quantity/quality/price of an item, the store sales price doesn't change... extremely risky!

not cool...

I just dumped millions of cheap Q30 stuff on the market (not from import, I stole it from elsewhere). Come and get some :P

Whelp, looks like my vicious overspending still won't pay off quickly enough, and I now don't even have enough to pay costs for tomorrow.
Can I just, reset my company or something? It would certainly seem odd for a game to allow itself to be literally unplayable, especially an online one.

Yeah go to the settings (top right) and click restart account.
That is surprisingly convenient! Thanks.

I was going to give it a couple of days to see how things go; but I don't think I can really recover with almost no non-finished goods, no shops to sell my finished goods in and no money to build one with.

No, it'll be the exact same # of product types, however there will be limited "shelf-space", so you'll need to make a decision on which ones you'll stock.

Each store of the same type can have different products placed on different shelves, the price for the same product will still be linked (due to lazy players' request).

Given the total shelf space to be fixed at 8 shelves per store, you will only be able to sell 8 products. Or if you leave 7 shelves empty, the 1 shelf you are selling will sell 8X as fast.

Best change ever.
Worst change ever, this will kill all of my stores. Supermarkets will be as good as farmers markets. What am I supposed to do with all the extra goods? My company already makes more than 8 products.

Make another store to sell the other goods, this isn't exactly rocket science.

There would be no reason to make more than 8 goods if the demand for the goods I was already selling wasn't already greater than 100%. Any investment in other goods would be a waste when I could increase quality of the preexisting goods or expand their production.

I had a goal to sell every item for the Farmer Market, and now I cant under a single business. There 11 store plots, and 90 products for the farmer market. Plus its just became insanely more expensive to sell lots of different goods.

I bet this is going to really hurt the b2b market.

It may or it may not; It may not hurt the b2b because a lot of people will be producing stuff they can no longer fit in their store, which may flood b2b with larrge quantities of cheap goods.
It may hurt the b2b because there will be no demand for said cheap goods because many people will have no room for purchased goods, or room for as many purchased goods.
I'm not liking it because my Stuff inc, was making half it's profit from having a farm which produces every fresh produce for the supermarket every couple of days, the rest of the income was from overproducing Milk, flour, and sugar.
Now if i keep the same buisiness model My supermarket will be full with only; wheat, flour, sugercane, sugar, milk, milk in carton milk in bottle, leaving only one shelf space left, i had been planning on making baked goods etc and my research centers had sunk a fair but into dough and goods, but i'll need to make a few more stores to sell em.
Still if i give up on finished goods it'll lower my micromanagement and give me more time. :/
