For some reason I was under the impression that animals would require grain or something to feed on. Apparently they are robotic and only need charging with electricity.
Also I'm pretty sure I have the factories I need; Livestock farm (of course), Slaughterhouse (ditto), food processing, hot food factory, well.
Power is pretty cheap so I can just buy that.
I have a few plantations from aforementioned misconception.

Clever note, I'd offer 1500 influence for the relevant suggestions and get them added if there's only a few, even though I mentioned I won't take orders for new products until v0.80.

uh? is this a dev?

The quality merge just converted everything to 30 if you had only had 1 unit of <30 in your warehoue. I had <100 units of <30 quality lumber and about 150k >45 lumber in my store but it's all now 30 lumber.

It might sound petty but I'm thinking about quitting the game over this.

Aren't we one week from a new server? The current server will just keep on going, right?

yes, but in a experimentalish mode, where "changes are sudden and exploits are rampant", to cite the developers. so expect more of this situation in future on this server.

Hmm, I'm fine with changes but this was just incompetence by the developer. If he would have taken an average my lumber would still have been high 40+ but he just defaulted it to 30. But what will happen on the new server? No more changes? The game isn't ready for that.

Anyway, the developer has sent me a douchy private message in the game so I think I will definitely quit. Maybe I will come back once he grows up a little. His posts about reading Something Awful and feeling good about taking revenge on posters there by banning them in game didn't give me much confidence in the first place.

What's a good way to sell my company (BRK, I own 100%). I don't want to sell it all at once because I don't want a random to pick it up cheap. Any methods to selling shares?

There's now an auto-mix function in place, and everyone got all their warehouse products upped to Q30.

I now have a rather large amount of Q30 electricity.

Electricity quality is irrelevant. Q30 electricity is the same as Q0 electricity.

Keep and use it.

Auto-mix... WHY?!?!
Thought that Scott wanted to simplify that aspect of the game to accommodate a simplified interface for a less rigid market system.

Weird design decision, I should say.

No, it'll be the exact same # of product types, however there will be limited "shelf-space", so you'll need to make a decision on which ones you'll stock.

Each store of the same type can have different products placed on different shelves, the price for the same product will still be linked (due to lazy players' request).

Given the total shelf space to be fixed at 8 shelves per store, you will only be able to sell 8 products. Or if you leave 7 shelves empty, the 1 shelf you are selling will sell 8X as fast.

Best change ever.

what happens when a item get produced and quality change? does price change in the stores? is the product forcibly removed from sale?

from some testing it appears that if you change the quantity/quality/price of an item, the store sales price doesn't change... extremely risky!

Only 8 Items? I'm going to need more supermarkets.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.
