Yeh, I took it over and it's now my aircraft company. One more to go until I have 1 company for every type of retail store.

I have made about $450 million because of the stock market crash. And there is probably more coming.

If you exploit the game you will get banned/jailed, also, because of exploits, the beta server will remain beta forever and the actual game will begin with a new DB.

It's not really exploiting if the admin knows that the stock market crashed and keeps it open knowingly.

I don't really get the whole thing myself. I mean, Walter and several others had been exploiting that hole in the stock market for a week or more - RJ knew it was there. Why not temporarily disable the issuing of shares until he has time to look into it?

Exploiting it so much and buying up everything like that was a dick move, but after seeing the exact same thing the last time there was a money making exploit - shouldn't he have kind of seen it coming and taken at least a bit of preventative action? Just from a time saving perspective it seems like it would have made a lot more sense - who knows how much time he wasted trying to clean up everything after it happened. I doubt it could have taken too long to just go in and turn off issuing shares for a few weeks until his todo list gets to the stock market issues.

Because he likes Walter but not the goons. RJ isn't that great at being an admin.

There is a difference between exploiting for your own benefit and exploiting to ruin the game for the sake of it

Both were doing bad stuff, but only goon starte messing up the game. Them and whoever pushed b2b stuff out at exploit prices (=more stuff to clean up afterward)

Not really, a bunch of people getting away with quietly exploiting the bug is going to cause a lot more damage in the long term than a group of people blowing the bug wide open and, y'know, causing it to be fixed.

Its a beta. There will be bugs. Including all-devouring crushing-style bugs and unnoticed but interesting bugs. People need to stop being so up in arms about there being bugs in the system of a v0.5 game. Yes, he should fix them. But whatever else he's working on should be finished first, because unfinished things either add pointless (for now) junk, or even more bugs. Or rather exploitable semi-done things, like the stock market.

Question: How does one play this game and make a profit?

Fundamentally, by some combination of:
1) Buying low and selling high on the stock market;
2) Buying materials, using factories to convert them into products, and selling them on the B2B for more than the cost of the raw materials and production costs; or
3) Opening retail stores to sell products that you produce yourself or buy from B2B/import  markets

For anyone interested: Due to my now more expanded factory structure I dropped the prices on my desktop computer rapidly from 4,199$ to 3,499$.
Every citizen should be able to afford a pc so if you want the best (Q29) and cheapest PC available on the B2B market buy quick.

In other news: I expanded more than the market has deman for my pcs and I have over quantities - shit!
edit: though my price really is very low for B2B (and compared to import aswell) so if you're running any store that sells pcs go get them. Tell me if you need other Electronic Goods
