That's sick....

I've bought 25 million shares of Prophet Empire after it crashed (I assume the Goons did it, right?). Considering that I didn't crash it and I bought them on the open market I assume I'm nog going to be banned. If I do get banned I'll just quit because it's not my fault this game is being exploited by goons.

The fact that people in this game seem to operate under the "BUY ALL THE SHARES" logic is infuriating. I've seen several companies now where either:
A. One person holds 100% of the stock
Or B. One person holds between 75-99% of the stock, and everyone else holds shares that come in at 1-5%.

Is there any reason to do so? Surely since you own the company at 51%, leaving the rest of the shares open for other people to trade would be a good idea.

Maybe because these people don't hate money? The more you own the more you'll profit from its success.

Well with Chaos Inc, I'm using the stocks to fund Chaos Inc umbrella corporations. So I'm selling about 15-25m worth of stock then buying it back with salaries & dividends.

And my first umbrella corp is just about read to make do it's job. Chaotic Odds and Ends. It already produce enough goods to pay for it's next annual cost.

Now, I just wish there was an easier method for umbrella corps to sell to its parent corp.

Put up some strawberries on the market a while ago.
I should get a Prospector and upgrade my water technology once they sell, because my Q0 water is dragging down the overall quality.

Much appreciated.
Also, I am idiot. It's a beverage R&D that lets you improve your water quality.

Hit the cutoff point for free expansion from stock manipulation.
Damnit.

hmm... lemon has managed to maintain its absurd dividends.. even though they should be spending about 2 billion dollars a day on them.

I took a bunch of stock when LEMON was cheap, like penny stock cheap with the idea of selling it off.
I did sell it off, expecting it to fall again... I should of stuck to it, 2billion a day would pay off my loan in a day!

We just need to get Toady to embed a Lisp interpreter into DF.  Learning lambda calculus in order to play the game wouldn't make DF's learning curve much steeper.

That was probably me. :) I've picked up a handful of companies due to the craziness. Although I wonder what the dev will do. I didn't buy ALL the companies that were out there as I didn't have a ton of cash available at the time but I see some players who basically just bought all shares of any company that was out there for < $1.

I feel justified since I got F'd for almost $2G due to this bug and I doubt I'll see any reparations (not to mention I was unfairly jailed and all my companies cash balances got reset to $0 this weekend due to the dev not checking the logs and just seeing me as chairman of RAPTURE and punishing me).
