I will enter the industrial goods market. Petrochemical plants and smelters.
Edit: oh and I may just stop playing until the reset anyways. The goon action culled my enthusiasm.

So there is going to be a wipe?  :-\
Not exactly.
Here's the link that Mr. Palau first posted: http://www.ratjoy.com/forum/topic/56-announcement/

Basically, it sounds currently like Scott plans to keep the current game as a testbed where people break things, and for capitalism-online to be a new wiped game with (I assume) identical code.

ok, we should work together to get the drop on GOON,

I'm going to start off with a food production company,
If you guys decide to have farms / grow anything, I think i'll be buying just about any foodstuffs,

oo or a wine company,
or natural gas or water or electricity even...

I'm gonna mess around for the next day or two and see how things go

I'm going to do my "retail-only" strategy again. Goal will be to have one company for each type of retail store and to generate huge demand for all the folks that like to do the production side of the game. Ball Mart will be the name as before.

Although this plan may change with the new store interface and the new slot system that the dev has been talking about.

EDIT: In other news, looks like I am currently in jail and the dev has zeroed out the meager cash balance from all of my companies (they're all upgrading and I had enough cash in each to pay daily costs for a week). Since others that used the stock re-issue thing are not in jail (that I know of), I must assume this is just a mistake due to my purchase of some shares of RAPTURE earlier today and me getting stuck with the chairman position when the other folks decided to dump the company.

I will ensure that the production facilities of my allies run red with strawberries.

When Cap online goes up I'm going to stick with mining, it's awesome because i'm lazy and it's not rocket science to just set production and leave things to lie.
Just like now i'll be producing far more then i'll be able to smelt so you'll be able to buy what i have in excess, and i'm going for a car company again because i like the fairly simple micromanagement.
Though i'm not sure scott can get away with the name Capitalism online, surely someone still owns the trademark?

Enlight isn't a problem: I think it will never fully recover from the mmo craze anyway.

Ubisoft might ba a deal breaker, though.

I will also try a company producing everything and targeting prices so that production gets eaten by ballc bots

I think a better idea would be to cooperate on two or three fronts to produce for him.

One person creating x, y and z, another creating a, b and c, the last creating d, e and f.

Ah that sucks. I was just getting set up. And a piece of stock i brought low at 4.56 is now high at 18.27!
I think I'll stick to production-only making food stuff or small goods.
I think I'll go with the same name.

We just need to get Toady to embed a Lisp interpreter into DF.  Learning lambda calculus in order to play the game wouldn't make DF's learning curve much steeper.

I'm gonna say byebye to fruits and veggies, and start up electronics, lumber, furniture and paper production.
Gonna build an office supply and a furniture shop for retail

Just made $6,000,000.00 profit on FOX. Awwww yeah. Looking at their page, I would say jump ship, whoever has control is driving that company into the ground, hard.
