No. It only shows how much one unit of the product would cost.
The cost on the warehouse screen shows the current non-B2B market price, I believe.

I'm busy running my own business, subsisting on electricity and water on the B2B market.
I can make a hell-ton of water, and my mine is big enough to pump out a significant amount of coal for the electricity.

If anybody needs cheap water, power (or the occasional shipment of strawberries), then Flarepower has you covered.
Within reason, of course, but only people with something to prove need 20m units of water at once.

It's not really stupid if they have large factories. I currently gobble several millions of water on many production runs and i'm certainly not the most advanced player out there.

For my own company, I tend to just buy 1-5 million water at a time.  Repeat when necessary or I find pricing sufficiently low.
I am a relatively small fry in comparison to many other players...

Thats actually the production cost. Or the price you bought at, if you imported or got from B2B

Basically, an average of cost per unit.  (It combines same same quality stuff, even if you bought em at different price levels.)

If you don't like the multiplayer aspect it's definitely more fun.

That's what I was thinking myself. It was Economies of Scale that made me want to buy Capitalism 2, and possibly Industry Giant at a later date. I'd like to thank OP and everyone in this thread for renewing my interest in the business sim genre. It was fun playing, but right now I'm not motivated enough to compete with everyone else.

BTW, Industry Giant is a great game. IMO, IG is more fun in the short term, but later 'hard' levels get grindy. Capitalism is about constantly fun, went through my uni years with only that game.

Just realized I could take out a large loan.  Maxed mine out, and set my food factory to spend two days adding floor space.

Now let's just hope I'm not too broke to pay interest once I get back.  I guess I'll sell my stores and start taking over the vanilla market again (which seems to have dropped from $100/unit to $50/unit...grumble)

Mostly I think that the people who need to use it as an ingredient have already built their own vertical supply chain that they're happy with.  If I could see B2B stats, I bet that trading volume has gone down even as the number of players has gone up.
