Dont get used it.

Scott talk about that being a Premium Feature.

Oh dear, here we go again. I am going to play this as long as there are no "Premium Features" that give others advantage...

I'll take your share of the market then. Kidding of course, though I do agree. Or at least, in the sense that I won't be spending money on ones and zeros, without them being on a disc. Which reminds me, you can buy Capitalism 2 for $4 with shipping and handling already included in the price.

Now back on topic, I've discovered the joys of outsourcing my research. With that being said I'm now producing ~q10 cocoa beans, sugar cane, milk, and cocoa powder, so now I'm starting to research cocoa butter, chocolate milk, and licorice root.

I figure that once I fully expand on the chocolate market as much as possible without going into cake and ice cream I'll work on making black licorice and caramel candy. It sounds like a good idea to me at least, as all I'll really need is to build another plantation and a snacks research and development to do that.

Though with the inclusion of chocolate milk I might want to build a lumberyard and a beverage factory, which could then lead me into possibly branching off into paper products if I build a paper mill. Plus lumber is a pretty decent commodity to trade in.

...I want to make a wood joke but I'm too tired to do so. Goodnight.

Has anyone done the math on electricity? I think I'm going to set up an utility that can produce electricity and all the required inputs. I think I'll be able to spend about $200 million on it.

I don't think lumber will be an easy market to jump into. There are several companies with 50+ tech in lumber and they will beat you to death. It doesn't make much sense in my opinion to buy low quality lumber.

The lazy button, isn't an advantage. Its just a connivence feature. It doesnt make them any more competitive.

He hasnt talked about it very much, but he doesnt want it to be a pay to win game.

I consider spending less time on micromanaging a big advantage, micromanaging a shop makes my house chores look like fun. Of course, I can't say that a guy with the premium will make more than a guy without it because of this, but if you have to micromanage, it grows old fast and you might just quit the game because of this. I just don't think this should be premium.

The shops need more dinamics, right now it's just buy and sell at double price, guaranteed income. Atleast the sales could vibrate a bit, or demand would make a much bigger impact than it does, maybe you could upgrade your shops with some new technology that would atract customers, just anything than it is now. I found Capitalism 2 fun because you weren't guaranteed income just because your shop sold well last month.

Yea, I agree. There are loads of way for Retail to expanded upon and lots of other mgm issues that could be introduced. Like shitty abstracted Employees, shitty abstracted store mgm'ers.

And crops are way to predictable right now too. Farming isn't this exact in real life.

Well that sucks, considering I have only 3 or so quality lumber.

Still, as long as I can slowly gain money, I'll stick with it.

Pretty much this. I find retail to be impossible only because of the micromanagement. I'm all for paying for convenience, but not where the interface is deliberately retarded. It's similar to RPGs, just adding a grind and making you pay to go around it.

Maybe something like paying to see the statistics section of EoS and other information advantages would be worth it.

I generally mark-up my retail by 10x 'recommended' wholesale.  And considering I make quite a few goods in-house... the lazy 2x would shaft me.

Now... if I was solely working on imports/b2b... the lazy 2x will do wonders for manageability.

I use 4x... everyone has it's magic spot (basically the abstract ratio between production and consumption)

It could really use a text field to enter a multiplication factor =P

Now... if I was solely working on imports/b2b... the lazy 2x will do wonders for manageability.

can you turn a profit on import with the wholesale x2 sell price?

Alright, I put out some 100,000 units of q11 cocoa beans for $9.00 a unit, and 10,000 units of q10 cocoa powder for $10 a unit, and 40,000 units of q10 milk for $3.15 a unit. Are these reasonable prices?

EDIT: Well, considering it all sold out and I made a million dollars in fourteen minutes, yes, I think those were good prices. I rushed a few levels of research, expanded my food research and development center, and still have enough money to build a snacks research and development so I can start researching either chocolate truffles or milk chocolate bars.

The lazy 2x does not go by wholesale... and no, I cannot profit by retailing import items at 2x wholesale price.

Here is the exact text:
"Start all paused sales at 2x cost or 2x quality-adjusted value, whichever is higher."

EDIT: Managed to pick up 203 whipped cream at 1 cent each...  looks like someone selling who was liquidating their business.... cause I have no record of it.  Retailing at $500 each... its moving slowly but surely.

I'm starting anew.
Since I made a lot of mistakes with my previous company.
I'm now going into the toys branch. There's a lot of growth there.

What is a good import only store?  Or at least has lots of b2b support?  Looking into trying out the lazy 2x...  as a low maintenance cash cow...

Just for fun, I bought 30% of a screwed company for 4 million. The previous owners blew all the money and left the company with about 4.6 million in assets and a 22 million loan. I used the cash to build one clothing factory and expand an existing one to 150m2. I hope the clothing industry is profitable - I'm gonna need to be able to make at least 700k a day with the 160m2 of clothing factory just to pay the interest on the loan, haha.
