Well, I have 19m in reserves to start a new company if the CEO fires me (can he?)

The guy seems experienced, maybe he will be better than me.

Unless you sell all your stock, or someone buys more stock than you, you can't be fired.

heh, sugar seems to be doing well right now, which is good since I'm stuck doing sugar right now to raise funds. Oh, BTW I'm Dan Clark of S&S Foods, gonna eventually end up doing confections and desserts

Edit: Wow, blueberries on the B2B market are insane....$4.50 average? I guess cutting my iventory in half and selling 5000 of those suckers on the market seems to be a good idea...

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Great deal on wheat right now.  Time to stock up, big-time.

...wow, you're right! Someone's selling q34 wheat at only 2.25 a unit! too bad I'm not anywhere near a point to be using wheat....

Edit: I R Idiot. Wheat's average price in the farmer's market is 3.8 dollars, so buying wheat from him and selling in my store is a no brainer....

I'm going to lose my newbie bonus tonight (in about 9 hours) and I'd like to expand out my retail space as much as possible beforehand. Currently making about $45M/day PROFIT and dumping everything back into my store.

If anyone would like to help me out with a loan, I can pay back with interest within a day. PM me.

Thanks!

You could do an IPO.

Spreadsheets help a ton in this game, especially at first, especially if you don't plan to micromanage everything.  The single most important column I have is "ROI * volume per tick":  (sale price / cost) * amount sold last 15 minutes.  Every night, I fill up my supermarket with one or two days' worth of goods, starting with the best and working my way down to, oh, 10 or so.

Chicken nuggets may (hypothetically) cost 50 and sell for 100, and if you can afford a ton of them and sell them quickly that's great, but it's an ROI of 2 and potentially a very low volume.  Needs you to sink a TON of capital.  I got tripped up on this a lot at first, and spent more time staring at my total profit/tick without considering how much capital I had to invest.  If you don't have the cash to keep everything stocked up at all times, well, many less-profitable goods are better than one highly profitable good...  Ironically, raw produce is still one of my best goods.

Also it's really important to have a ton of free cash floating around...  now that I'm used to seeing the price fluctuations, I keep seeing these great deals that I want to jump on and grab like two weeks' worth of a super cheap good.

if any of you starts an IPO, remember to warn the other B12ers on the IRC, so we can buy stocks.

You could do an IPO.

Well, that would be AFTER I lost my newbie bonus :) I crossed the net worth threshold today and am just trying to use my bonus as much as possible until I lose it and have to start waiting for store expansions.
