Where you get labor costs?

I've production cost shown on production, but I'm searching for the fixed costs, like the wages of the retails

yeah i have no idea what my actual costs/earnings are, an income sheet like you can see on other companies share page would be nice.
Edit: Is there any reason to research quality for raw materials if you're just exporting them/selling them on the market? The higher production costs seem to cut into my profit too much.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Man, the quest rewards are crap.

They should at least recoup the cost for completing them.

One of the quest I have is to expand an R&D facility to 74 or over, but the reward is only 7.4k. It's just not worth it.

But you still get the benefit of having an R&D facility of 74m2, and you will keep on getting that quest, automatically completing it.  As you get bigger though the rewards get better, but for me quests is not about the money but the fame given.

The larger facility also gets larger maintain cost. And fame doesn't seem to do a lot. The quick build action is okay, but pretty meh.

Before I get into what fame does, I will explain what influence does.
After you reach level 5 and can no longer use instabuild for free you have to spend influence to instabuild or wait.  Each influence point is 5 minutes of build time, so 6 influence points builds an hours worth of buildings.  Each day you get influence base on your PERSONAL fame, each day your personal fame increases based on all your COMPANY fame.  If you have stock in a company, the fame is split and you get fame base on your percentage ownership.  So COMPANY FAME -> PERSONAL FAME -> INFLUENCE -> RAPID EXPANSION.

Now at the beginning you won't get much fame from quests, and the building expansion quests tend to be a bit... weak in reward.  But then other quests give a huge reward in fame.

Example of a quest I just completed.
Objective: Research Minerals to improve its quality to 56 or above.
Reward:  $271,737.62  Fame: 250,656

It's interesting that you get an automatic loan if you have no cash at the end of the day but you have to pay your fixed costs. Even if you can't get a loan through the loan menu. Is there a limit to this? If not I'm going to end every day with 0 cash in my company. Sure, you have to pay 1% daily but I hope to make more money than that on a daily basis, more leverage=more win.

There is a limit but I think it is along the lines of 50%-100% of your companies networth

My company's networth is 3 million and my loan is 5.2 million. Looks like you can get over that limit through the automatic deduction at night.

It doesnt make a lot of sense that you start out with a five million loan. From a mechanic POV, that 50k back loan is a punishment on new players. 50k, is a lot for a newer player.

Plus it doesn't match the back story you're given when starting the game. You're inheriting this business from your parents. The business is implied to be fine and already in play before you start. But the business you've given, isn't even self sustaining.

You also get $5 million in cash. And it's nut punitive at all. You should be able to make more than 1% on that money anyway. If I could borrow more I would.

And a veteran player should have the Choice to take on greater Debt.

But a new Player doesn't understand the Annual Expenses of the game, nor when to expect them. The New Player may very well be making more then 50k, but the new player doens't understand the Maintenance fee or the salary fee. Like, my Maintenance Fee, is 92k, which in comparison to the 50k interest, making the Interest Payment substantial for a new player. Which in turn makes it punitive. It's an extra cost, that forced upon the Player which doesn't yet understand the annual cost for the game as a whole. There no real reason for it to placed upon the New Player. It doesn't serve any mechanic reason, or give the New Player any actual Choices to make. The New Player has to spend a fair amount of of the Starting Money to get the business he has into something substantiating.

And the Five Million is more then enough to do that with, but it's, not enough for someone learning the game to get their business substantiating. And the game should realize that, and shouldn't be tacking on any more invisible (well, more accurate to say not readably visible), expenses.

I hovered over the bank icon when i started and it read bank loan, and at the instance I came to understand that I'm paying interest of some sorts. That's really not much of a problem. This game just has a steep learning curve. I actually like the fact that you can't get money from thin air just because you've just started.
