Oh, coal, that.
The coal probably won't get that much cheaper, since i was just selling off Coal from a Mine I sold, I have no more coal and you Can do whatever the hell you want with the coal now.

but... you can't defuse a war like that! not fair!

anyway, I already guessed that you wouldn't be competing much on the coal market, since you said you were going for beverages.
I just wanted to make some noise about it :P
actually, I think I can fix the problem rather easily...

edit: coal bought at 7.45, back on sale at 7.5!

whenever I get a ton of cash, I must try to do this on a larger scale, and see what happens to prices in the long run.

I hope the prices rise :P
Since I produce way more coal then I use in making my steel.

Quote
333 Lemon-lime = 999 Energy + 999 Water + $50 + 2000 cans + 333 Lemon-lime Concentrate

333 Lemon-lime Conc. = 666 Energy + $66 + 83 Sugar + 133 Lemon + 133 Lime
133 lime = $18 + 13 Energy + 400 Water
133 lemon = $18 + 13 Energy + 400 Water
83 Sugar = 415 Energy + $12 + 41 Sugar cane
41 Sugarcane = 410 Water + 8 Energy + $13

2000 cans = 2 Aluminum + 100 energy + $100
2 Aluminum = $14.00 + 50 energy + 1 Bauxite
2 Bauxite = $16 + 60 energy + 60 Water

SPENT:
Energy: 2345
@$0.10 = $240
Water: 2240
@$0.10 = $221

Cash: $306
Cash if you buy W&E: $767

MADE:
Lemon-lime Soda: $3/can
333 Lemon-lime soda = $999
Minus expenses = $232 per 333 cans
or: approx $700 Profit per 1000 cans.

Alternate If you produce the Energy and Water:

2300 Water = 230 Energy + $115
2500 Energy = $175 + 5 Coal
5 Coal = 50 Energy + 50 Water
Cash Spent: $596
Profit/1000 Cans: $1210

You know, we should form a coal cartel and buy up any coal below a certain price. I've got about 2 mil available right now. Anyone in?

So your trying to make a monopoly, eh?
Sounds interesting, I'd like to see if you can fully control the coal market.

uh. it seems that me undercutting other people was noticed and prices are actually dropping quickly...

with 2 millions available we should be able to restore coal price at 8.00. if more people are in, we can get some more probabl, but it would only be a matter of time before somebody goes down again.

this whole thing seems premature however... we most likely don't have neither the cash nor the production weight to manage a successful cartel.

pre-edit: 5.2? hm. well, may be worth trying! I am short on cash, but I'll buy some other coal, and raise my price.

with the current market, we should buy everything below 10.

ok lets go for $10. Should we all start at the same time? How about at the top of the hour (unless you live in one of those wonky half-hour difference time zones, then it would be at the bottom of the hour)

Well, I suppose it won't hurt to try another tick-based game. In as Atorek Flarecrystal of Alterixian Industries.

Relatedly, Cyber Elites sounds interesting (on the page after the account verification thing), though that could just be the command line look of it.
