Was that how he did it?  There are several different ways to get easy quadrillions, from what I've read on the game forum.

Anyway, it appears that he got bored and left, which is what tends to happen to exploiters.

Well, it was what was surmised from another player who I asked about it who replicated the bug [the guy with username "ANNOYED WITH BUGS"]. He actually msg'd me more details of doing the transactions via the stock market which would be similar.

Sucks that one user who has been playing legit since the game started (Huginn Stormhammer) told me that he's going to quit unless there's some action taken by Scott. Now people are demanding a rollback or a restart. What a mess.

Is it playable yet though? And the announcement from hajj pajji hasn't updated that for like a month (Although I will admit I was lazy and didn't read the other pages.) But if this is playable then oh man I might get started again, last I played was 3 years ago.

It's worked for me... yes its true the account creation steps seemed a bit glitchy but now I have my first farms and factories running normally.

FYI, the original creator posted the source code at:

Which is a really cool thing for him to do. I feel sorry a bit for whoever takes up the torch though because the code is a mess.

So, I completely missed all the fun when this first came out, but the premise sounded interesting and open source is always cool.

So I clicked on the github link. My first thought was "...literally of the code is in php. Not a good start." I then read down to the readme and saw "I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry."

Yeah, not touching that code with a 10ft pole.

Damn, I got excited too hoping the remake would work. I'd probably slog through it regardless but the lack of stores is a deal breaker, since EoS never had good activity to make the market too reliable, and especially not this remake. Stores are basically necessary if you want a reliable stable profit in EoS.
