And it looks like I'm correct, as the second upgrade is indeed 8 million.

64 is right too so i think you've got it figured out.

Hey guys. The admin announced his decision regarding store balance. Looks like we are getting only 8 products after all. Ya know I just can't believe he decided to go down this route, stores with more than 8 products are pretty damn common in real life and theres a reason for that. He didn't even allow supermarkets to sell more goods than farmers markets. The dev was given so many suggestions for alternative methods that could in the end accomplish the same thing in the announcment thread, and yet he didn't listen to any of them.
You can look in that thread and the shelves thread, to see what many, including myself, believe will be the effects of this decision. Seeing as how B2B will likely be ruined for many, if not most, goods, this will likely become mroe of a sinlge player than multi player game. Seeing as how B2B is the primary multiplayer component to the game.

I am going to sell all of my stock in my companies effective immediately, as I don't see a reason to continue playing this with countless demonstrations regarding the incompetence of the developer. Feel free to snag them if you want them, all I ask is that you don't embezzle the money out of the company and maintain what reputation it has, if any.

I apoligize to anyone who lost any money as a result of my transactions.

On the bright side, after liquifiying everything, I now have like 2.5B in cash in case the admin ever gets back to doing a proper job.

Checking through my companies records, it appears the previous owner embezzled all of the company's money. It appears that he:

1) Used a small company that was making no money.
2) Shoved a whole bunch of money into the company.
3) Increased the networth of the company by a megaton. (Records show a spike in networth on one day.)
4) Took out giant loans for the company.
5) Embezzled the money through B2B purchases (of which I can't find any record, oddly enough).
6) Tanked the company into oblivion.

... Lame.

Bring it up, and sue the previous owner.

Hm... this game as a whole seems to bring out a love/hate relationship. The part of me that loves to fill niches and exploit markets in the X series of games loves this idea, and that's why I started playing it yesterday. On the other hand, things seem to go soooo slowly. I realize tick-based games are designed to be playable on a scale of minutes per day, but X has also gotten me spoiled with the SETA button. :P The... attitude of the developer doesn't help either, and with the beta servers being abandoned in two weeks, I wonder what's going to happen. But... I still keep checking back every few hours, watching my net worth slowly creep up. I don't know why I do this to myself. XD

The beta servers aren't being abandoned. Its going to be kept, and used for live testing of tweaks and new features.

Bleh. Even with the 10 mil handout from the other day, which I quickly spent, I had to take out an auto-loan last night. Where does this half a mil in salary come from? I might have to downsize, and, if nothing else, stop making my own power. It's convenient, but might be killing me. >.>

I know. I don't actually pay myself anything, and that's not the issue anyway... I could dump it back into the company. The issue is the large amount of money that goes to robotizens or whatever he calls them. I'm guessing it's mostly from the 500 m2 Farmer's Market... But I also get most of my (meager) money from that. I can't wait for the change to go through on stores, honestly. That way I don't need to spend hours stocking 80 items just to try to break even. I see how it could be annoying for more established companies though.

Yeah, the new balance sheet thing is pretty cool. I realized that I have about $200 million of inventory in my main company. And I'm trying to sell most of it before the shop change. I hope it works out because I don't want to be stuck with it for long.

Wow.

Dear Investor, Urist Inc has recently RAISED its shareholder dividend to $1.91 per share.

I have 1.4 million shares in URIST.

In dividends, that's 2.7 million every day.

Whoever owns Urist, if it's someone from here, TAKE ALL MY MONEY. TAKE IT NOW.

The previous owner sold the company completely, the guy that took over then raised the dividend, then sold his shares. He also completely wrecked the company - smashed all the buildings and everything.

-edit- Huh, I was gonna rebuild it. Got some of the stores back up, but for some reason the insta-build to 500 thing isn't working for factories.

Most of the company's money is locked up in various inventory. It must have had a bunch of different store types before the guy who smashed everything did that. I see furniture, appliances, sporting goods - all kinds of stuff.
