Heh, Microsoft dipped low and I wound up buying the whole thing for 24 cents a share. 1.8g in cash, 3.5g loan. Seemed like a chance to goof around with a company and see if I could fix it.

Bad idea. Admin came along and upped the loan to 11.5g and set the stock price to 1 cent.  Wonder if I could get away with issuing a 25 cent dividend to give myself my cash back. Can a company even pay dividends with a loan?

I don't get why so many people try to buy controlling shares in a company and then try to get it back on it's feet instead of simply starting their own new company.

Costs 10M plus land pieces. Merc was a good deal some while ago, you got good research on return.

But those... Have really no value at all.

Well, at 1.8b cash and 3.5b loan I figured I could invest it all and have a quick big company. Build buildings for two weeks straight then start producing massive amounts of goods to sell. Could probably make way more than 35m a day and turn the company around after a while. Might take a while, but eventually you could have a multi-billion dollar company - all for about 75 million invested.

But then the 8 billion additional fine for the actions of the previous owner really screwed everything. At 115 mil a day interest I highly doubt I could ever have time to build enough factories to even break even before the company went under.

-edit- Yay, when he learned about my intention to fix the company he gave 5b back. 6.5b is still a hefty negative, but not near as bad.

Hmm. It's been almost an hour and some of my stuff hasn't sold. It must be a slow day today. So, right now I have cocoa beans and sugar cane for $4.99 on the B2B Market. It was a little higher but I figure if I lowered the prices it would sell faster.

Then again, there seems to be a surplus of some of the things I make a lot of money off of, so maybe I should just be patient.

Everything is messed up right now. Electricity is expensive. There is no high quality lumber left on the market. I do have a few days of lumber in store but this could suck.

Yeah it should be temorary. I think some major producers were wiped out by this guy so the markets might be severely disrupted in the areas those producers specialized in.

Either a lot of people will quit or a lot of people will learn not to put <50% of their company on sale. :P

The admin is handling it. He's 'jailed' all the people that were doing major fraud, in addition to resetting their cash, fame & influence to 0. He made some code specifically to catch and punish that sort of thing apparently.

A few of the deals I did triggered his code too, set my fame and cash to 0. Lost about 200 mil, 50 influence, and level 4 fame - but I'm just glad i'm not in jail :D Some folks got jailed for having stuff up high priced on the b2b when that guy ran around buying up everything, since it made them look like accomplices.

The fame bothers me more than the money - I use influence constantly, so losing my source of influence kinda sucks. I'll get it back eventually though. My companies still have enough money to keep running - I just lost my stock trading fund. Most of which was made during the scandal when the stocks were bobbing up and down anyway.

BTW, I suggest we be more careful with Bay-12 discounts in the future.

I'm just glad hes regulating things now. Ten stocks popping up every minute and being drained of all their capital was getting rather silly.

So, as a heads up to folks, my company, Dildain Technology, purveyor of fine polyester and cotton products, is currently halfway to Micro Cap level. I expect, given my previous growth rates, to break the barrier in the next several days.

When I do, should I go public? If I do, it will be with the intent of turning the company into a consistent dividend stock, and I'd prefer that my backers be Bay12ers with no interest in market shenanigans. I don't plan to ever participate in the antics, and I'd prefer my shareholders have a similar mindset.

I'm having fun with this Microsoft company. Billions of dollars to throw around, building everywhere and researching like crazy. It's a race to get over 100mil/day profit before the company goes bankrupt, then I can start paying down the massive debt.

It may not end well, but it was worth the $75 million just to play with billions of dollars for a while.

The massive quantity of water flooding the water market right now? If that all sells, it will pay off less than 1 day of interest. And that's not even taking into account the costs of it (although I'm not planning on producing cheap water anyway, just dumping the stock that was bought at huge prices).

Ugh, I got fined 8M just for having people buy overpriced goods (and my peanut butter has flagged me like 8 times now :D). But it's not so bad seeing how I made about 30M from that guy, and everyone else seems to be getting worse punishments.

I hate to get fined over this broken company i've taken under my wing, it would be cheaper to start my own considering i own something like 40 million in stocks. But i don't want to sell anything :(
