DF isn't much for logical combat, as realistic as it is.
My favorite was when a Badger Sow was biting one of my Clothiers in the left lower leg, right hand, lower body, and throat . . . all at the same time.

Until you've wrestled four different wolves with your teeth at the same time, you haven't gotten the fullest out of adventurer mode.

Ditto slaying people with mere snowballs.

You are the reason we can't have snowball fights... Hiding an anvil in there...

The spinning -rope reed fiber sock- strikes the pikeman in the upper body, shattering the left true ribs and bruising the pancreas!
The -rope reed fiber sock- has lodged firmly in the wound!

Was it a dwarven-made sock?  I'll bet it menaced with spikes of granite or something.

careful, that goblin now has an excuse to wear an eyepatch. And as any well educated person knows, eyepatches give on average a 10-20% increase to general badassery.

I doubt they have (properly black, no decorations) eyepatches on hand, so it should be fine if he kills the goblin before it can escape. If he escapes, OP might as well just retire now because that mother is going to come back. With a vengeance.

And a really bitchin' eyepatch.

Now I want equippable eyepatches modded into the game.

Now what's REALLY odd is...

The flying *Iron Bolt* strikes the Hammerman in the right eyelid, tearing the skin!
The *Iron Bolt* has lodged firmly in the wound!

The other ones could be passed off as sheer force or convenient sharp bits. I'm not sure how a full-sized bolt could get lodged in a millimeter-thick flap of skin without doing a bit of harm to any other part in the vicinity.

Okay so i'm a die hard bow/thrower in ADV and my dwarf armies are constantly backed by Marksdwarves two columns thick.

I. Love. Ranged. Combat.

My favorite targets are apparently Ears, Eye lids and Toes currently.
My last adventurer died due to every shot landing in legs and tiny removable parts. (Ears, eyelids.. that sort.)

I'M TRYING TO BRIDGE TO SOCIETIES WITH PEACE AND TRADE, CAN'T YOU JUST DIE. GOSH.
