Web Nonsense
« on: April 08, 2012, 03:16:46 pm »

So, I was fighting a Titan with infinite web production, when it decided it would do nothing but shoot webs. I tried to break free and... got stuck in a infinite loop of web-trap, duh. How do I disable this crap? This web machine gun doesn't even make any sense.

Is there anything you can set on fire nearby? That might be able to ignite any webs that try to ensnare you again. Otherwise, just keep grabbing and throwing things until your agility is high enough to get a step before the titan's next web.

*Beware it's webs*

The warning exists for a reason, they're nasty buggers now. Did you bring along some peasants to help your task?

I don't think you understand, it is in loop as I try to break free. I can't take any action whatsoever, just watch this nonsense forever as times flies by.

Oh I understand. And you're doomed to windows task manager unless it decides to kill you or you brought some peasants.

Though if it tries to kill you and misses, you might have a chance.

Add the [WEBIMMUNE] token to humans (or dwarves/elves) in the save file's raws? Or just wait, the last time that happened to me it wasn't long before titan extract was injected directly into my brain. An interesting side note: if it says it's a giant three eyed spider, beware its poisonous bite!, it still gets webs from being a spider.

But yeah, webs are overpowered. Something with webs can usually kill anything without web immune one on one. All they really need is a longer cooldown.

Nah webs aren't overpowered.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder why people are surprised when they get caught after running into a giant web spun by a Titan created before time.

Well, two days have passed and nothing changed. Also, my troops seem to be watching for some reason. I will add the tags, this is too unrealistic. The Titan probably produced many times his own mass in webs, which would have killed him a long time ago.

Everything about this thread reeks with win.

Titan getting webbed by a Titan.

Your troops just going wat o-o

And DF logic striking again!

My theory is the Titan is both shooting and eating the web simultaneously...

Done. Also this felt wrong. The Titan just stayed there webbing everything while I sliced it into pieces.
