Jacques, now rested, had a plan for today. It was not a complicated plan, but it was a plan none the less:
1. Check on namu under bed.
2. Finish sculpture of goddess.
3. Take finished sculpture and namu to the north village.

Jacques looks under the bed, hoping that the namu has not done anything strange.

E: Almost forgot this.

Spoiler: Aile Urien (click to show/hide)
Aile turned to Salden, "Yes, hidden in my bag right here under all the medicinal herbs and Snowberries. Nnaranha warned something about the namu, and maybe about hiding it. The memory is hazy after all that walking but I'm sure that is what he said.

Oh, wait."
She then relates the story of what her cat told her. Adding the part of being 'knocked down'.

Afterwards, she then asks Nnaranha what he meant by being "knocked down" without the presence of the namu.

Mier smiles slightly as he leans forward and whispers, "You're a mage, no?"

He knows something. He wiped the confusion from his face and put a stern look on, staring Mier straight in the eyes.
"It depends on who's asking."

(Did I recover any Power from resting?)

Chop the fallen trunks into blocks and the blocks into logs, haul them to the blacksmith, eat some rations and fall asleep next to the building.

"Eh?" he said to Alie. "Your entire namu, or just the shard? My raven said I should hide mine after I got the shard out of it...

...but I don't think he said why. Other than to stop anyone from finding it, obviously."

He let out a little giggle.

"I was really good at hiding mine, too."

Also, in accordance with past action, Show Namu Shard to Thoki and Salden.

Spoiler: Aile Urien (click to show/hide)

"Erm, I'm not actually sure what was meant by 'bring your namu'. It was large and unyielding, as proved by my dented dagger here." She pulled out the weapon, it's tip was clearly bent to the right. "Anyway, you two look like honest people, this is all I've managed to get out from it. Strangely, I had to will it free, and it worked!"

"Ooh, Raven?" Salden asked, turning to the bird perched on his shoulder. "Is it a problem that they haven't hidden theirs?"

Thoki was getting more and more worried about this.

'If only my guide could survive out in the daylight. It didn't last too long in the shade. Maybe it would have told me to hide my totem as well?'

He started to realize that what they were calling a namu must be the totem he ran into. There is no other explanation. Regardless his mind was racing at this point.

"I-Is it a bad thing that I haven't hid that namu thing yet? My guide didn't exactly like sunlight, so I couldn't exactly talk for long."

He nervously glanced over his shoulder towards his village as he thought of his namu that he had just left behind.

"You know what... I'm going to head back to my village and hide my namu. I'll just talk to my the guide shadow later and ask him about it. I've studied what I thought was magic for too long to let something like this slip away."

Thoki started moving a few steps away.

"If you two want to make plans for what to do next I'll be back before tomorrow afternoon. Either that or you can walk with me to my village. I don't mind either way."

He turned his back to them for a moment only to turn around again.

"Almost forgot! I'm Thoki."

Get ready to walk back to Thoki's village.

Mier glances around, checking to be sure there are no nearby observers, before briefly manifesting a small sphere of light in his cupped hands.

"I assume that is enough proof on my part. And you...?"

Spot on! Now then, if there are two of us, there are probably more.

Spoiler: Aile Urien (click to show/hide)
"Wait!" Aile glanced at Salden before turning back to Thoki. "There are nine villages in all, right? I guess each of us is from each of those villages, and if what everyone is saying is true...erm.

Salden, I will go and help this man. It's better to travel in pairs, moreso when night is falling."

Get ready to walk along with Thoki back to his village to find his namu.

"Uh, I think I should come too. Unless you want me to look for more people here?

And um, I hid my namu by burying it into the ground. I could hide yours the same way, or you could do it yourself. Remember, you can control the greater type of magic too, not just the more specific one."

Inser

The soldier says his name is 'Leo Nelson'.

Kaelan
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Your power is now 6/6.

You wake up to another overcast day. The weather is chilly, but that may be because it is still just before the sun rises. Untangling yourself from the hammock, you startle a singing mockingbird, which promptly launches itself to another tree, still singing all the while. Another bird, this one a black raven, is perched on a branch just above you, starting at you silently.

Mier

Talks with Inser.

Jacques

You check on the ice core - it seems the same as yesterday. You notice that it is coated in a film of water. Strange.

You then get back to work.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

At about noon, you take your break. Now, everything except the detail in the wings and the face is finished. You partake of the artist's fruit (*cough*apple*cough*) and think that maybe you should actually have a model to be the face, because as everyone worth his sculpture knows, a model beats everything else.

Continue with a model (takes time! D:), or continue w/o a model?

Aile

"Mmm? I was saying that if you don't be careful, and also don't have some of your namu to help, you'll be killed. Nothing much more to it."

Trendam

(Nope.)

You chop the tree you did fell into blocks and logs. You haul them.

The blacksmith looks up.
"That took you quite a long time."
He gruffly greets you, before going back to his lunch.

You gulp down some rations before going to sleep. . .

You wake the following day. It is overcast.
(Power restored to 5/5)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Your head hurts very much.

Thoki

You return to your village.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You note that many people, armored and holding the mark of the red scale, are walking around the village, knocking on doors and talking to people.

(May be with Aile & Salden or not.)

"Quite well. And you? I don't think those redscale soldiers have the best of intentions for us."

Mier frowns slightly, running his hand through his hair.

"Incidentally, since there appear to be two of us, there are likely more. We should probably try to find them, if only to keep them from being captured. I don't know about you, but I feel as if there is something very important happening right behind our backs, and I intend to find out what it is."

He seems resourceful. I wonder how many others are out there like us...
"I haven't been able to hide my namu yet. I'll trust you to find the others. We'll meet back here in three days. I'm going to be going now. If anyone asks who isn't one of us, tell them we're merchants."

Go home and rest.
