"Creation and Earth," Salden said, a tiny bit proud. "I can make things, but I'm not sure if I can really carry the totem... unless I made a cart for it, I guess? I only tried making a flute and a mug earlier, though, and neither of those worked out very well."

Collect my piece of amber and take it as well. I found it in the forest a long time ago, and took it because it's shiny!

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

drive steel rod into totem ( failing that, lay the rod on top ), then shoot electricity into at their direction.

Mier

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

For some reason, it doesn't work again. You fail to draw upon the power within you. The man is unimpeded.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The man doesn't find you, and turns around, searching the bushes opposite from you.

((I pick number 4, the man doesn't notice you at all!))

You try again.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You use 1 power and block light from reaching the man's head. Now, it seems like he was beheaded, except where the flesh of the insides should be, there is only a dark shadow.

"What? What is this?! Argh!?"

"You're not alone, you know. Find the others, and go together! You know, divided we fall, united we stand?

It ruffles its feathers.

"I humbly suggest you get a pack, food, and then hide your namu."

Kaelan

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

After wandering for a while, you get your bearings and start heading back to the totem. Unfortunately, you also meet the bounty hunters again. Still, you have the upper hand - they are heading towards north, with their backs to you.

Thoki

"Hmm... no, I don't know. Isn't the whole forest equally dense?"

You give up after a string of similar replies, and instead head randomly into the forest.

Do you have any idea of where you want to go?

((Sliiiight problem here: the village you are near is Preservation, except both Evil and Azthor aren't really exactly active D:))

Aile

You hold the cat, and snatch the mouse!

The cat hisses and ... punches you?

That was weird.

The mouse, on the other hand, wildly scrabbles around and tries to scratch you.

Jacques

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You call upon the powers within you, and let it loose. SNOW!

...but you are drained of 1 power, yet nothing happens. What could be the problem? Did you not have enough power, or did you go about it wrong? Maybe direct creation is harder than chilling the air...?

Salden

"Impressive. Then, just make the earth swallow up your namu! If your power is fully restored, you have a decent chance ..."

You pick up your amber piece and pocket it too.

NRDL

You try to drive a metal poker into the totem, but it is too high for you to get in any decent piercing force.

Instead, you lay it on the top and try to summon electricity.

((That works too.  :P Oh, Light powers are going to be fun~))

Mier smiles slightly, still crouched in his hiding spot. There is never harm in being too careful, after all.
His grip tightens on the hilt of his dagger, skin against worn leather. He speaks, slowly and clearly, in a pleasant tone.

"Hello, friend. Care to tell me why you were following me?

Don't bother lying, we both know that you were. All that remains are your intentions, which I trust are quite harmless. This is a peaceful land, after all."

Mier smiles slightly, and awaits an answer.

"I suppose I'll do as you say, but I still need money. Since you seem to know what's best to know of my situation, what happens if my namu is stolen? Do I simply die, or is there something less pleasant?"
Go to a store and check on prices for food and luggage containers

The thought occurs to Jacques that perhaps freezing water would be easier than summoning snow. Creation seems very very difficult, oui?

Jacques seeks out a nearby stream and sits down by it in meditation, hoping to regain his powers faster that way.

Thoki sat down on a log from a fallen tree looking around with a rather worried look on his face. Nothing looked familiar anymore. 'This is terrible. I think I'm lost. It's a bit of a long shot, but maybe the shadows know something. No one said that shadows couldn't travel.' He held his hands out to the dark side of a tree, hidden in the shade. "Could you point me towards the totem? Even an arrow would be nice." He imagined an dark arrow embedding itself in the bark. "I don't want to be lost forever."

Ask the shadows for directions. If that fails keep walking deeper(?).

"Oh yeah!" Salden exclaimed. "I'd been focusing so much on Creation, I forgot all about Earth. Hm...

Well, guess I'm off then. Are you coming with me? I never got around to asking who they were and why they wanted the namu, and who you are and why they shouldn't have the namu, and why I found it and a bunch of other stuff.

Plus, what do I do once I've hidden the namu?"

Return to namu!

Spoiler: Aile Urien (click to show/hide)

Aile held extended her arms, both to keep the animals at a good reach from hitting her in any way possible. She knew animals could commune with people in their own special ways, but this was far beyond ordinary!

"Calm down, cat. I'll find you better food than this mouse here," she said, giving the cat a quizzical look.

Proceed back to the namu with the two.

'Perhaps I can find more of those wondrous herbs!'

Mier

> "Hello friend, care to tell me why you were following me? Don't bother lying, we both know that you were. All that remains are your intentions, which I trust are quite harmless. This is a peaceful land, after all.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Dammit, don't lie! Why would you ask if you knew?"

It seems your attempt at bluffing him failed.

Inser

"If your namu is stolen, you'll probably feel a steady decrease in your power. Also, you might exhibit any or all of the following: persistent nausea/vomiting, extreme tiredness, stomach pain, coma, death. But the last two are really rare - one in a billion chance - so don't worry about that. Basically, you feel like you lost an organ. Or something."

The raven stays perched on your shoulder.

You head over to a general store for food prices.

Poor fare (rations) : 1 copper / meal
Good fare : 1.5 copper / meal
Fine fare : 2 copper / meal

You also recall you have a pack at home.

Jacques

You sit by a stream, and meditate.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Nothing happens. You do think that you didn't focus enough.

Thoki

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A small arrow is embedded in the bark. You use 1 power. However, you note that the arrow is embedded exactly the same as you imagine it. Follow it?

"Yes, I am coming. After you hide the namu, take a piece of it and try to get out of here."

You head back towards the namu.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The namu is just as it was the other day.

Aile

You head to the namu. It seems to be exactly the same as you left it. The cat hisses and keeps punching your arm. The mouse continues to scratch your arm.

Trendam

((Meditate on what? o_o))

At the suggestion of someone, I decided to make an OOC thread. Use it if you wish xD

Link's in the OP.

"Ah, I believe I know why, anyhow. You're here for a certain thing, with a rather large bounty attached to it, aren't you...?"

Mier's smile widens slightly as he leans forward and stands.

"Namu."

"If you're hunting it as well, we should be able to help each other."

Thoki couldn't help but laugh at the arrow he made. It really was just pointing further down the path, just as he imagined. Still, it brought up the question of what else it could do... He was tempted to see what else he could do since this was really the first time he could truly use magic. It had been something that he'd wanted for so long that he'd forgotten to see the limits of his magic. He held his arm away from himself as he stepped into the shadow of the tree where he had formed an arrow and imagined a layer of black shadows covering his right arm, painting it a solid black.

He imagines covering his arm in a solid shadow. He'll test it's strength by knocking on it if he's successful.
