But then, it returns to sittting and sniffing at you. It looks like a giant, feline creature, with 6 legs and large, slug-like eyes. It has a mouth full of sharp teeth. They rotate a little bit. It has green-brown fur, which is thick and oily.
You could try and stab it in the head to destroy its brain. Maybe this is an instant-kill. At the moment, this sick, disgusting, horribly and deadly monster is off-guard. You think.

Go back to the water and gut the creature with your sharp part of the spear. clean out the inside and try to separate the skin from the meat. clean the skin and find some rope to hang the meat from, draining it of its blood. Hang the meat from a high place, like a tree. gather dry leaves and sticks from around the tree and see if you can start a fire with (clueless on this part). cook small part of the meat and eat it. hopefully no predators will come around. plus, slow cooking the meat would be a horrid idea. it creates an attractive smell.
