Offered to gen an ultra-long history world for HugoLuman in another thread, and figured I'd see if anyone else wanted input before I gen it.  I usually do:

-Large or medium islands
-Stop at year 2,012... heh
-Set megabeast percentage at 50, so it stays in Age of Myth.  Also, caves increased.
-Tweaked grazers (all set at least at 60), and breeding dragons
-Elves and Goblins are mortal, but long-lived (I think I have elves set at 4 or 500 years?)
-Humans use Mythic and Holy names
-Playable humans, all civs build towns
-Tweak curses a bit, like reducing werebeasts, no bogeymen

That's just an example of my personal preferences.  If a few people can agree what parameters to use, I'll post it to DFFD.  I can usually stay at 2-3 seconds per year up until year 8,000 or so.  Should take about half a day to do 8,000-10,000.

I tried that, you spawned in HFS. Oh man...it was ??BORING??

No clowns, no digging, I was completely safe.

I let it run while I was at work, and it's BOGGING down in year 5,306.  I see why, it's at over 10,300,000 historical events.  Somewhat unusual at this point, even for a large region.

Hrm, I'd better pause gen and take a look arou..... oh my....

It actually continues this way across most of this part of the continent.
Annnnnd, it's at about 10 seconds per year, pretty slow.  I'll let it run overnight while I sleep, should be finished by tomorrow... afternoonish?

Hmm. Your incoherent screaming brings up a good point.  I think I'll stop it now for safety's sake and upload it, so we can delve into this... tower farm thing.  The secret and number-of-civs settings are stock, so I dunno.

EDIT: And, the son of a bitch crashed when I was exporting map info, save was lost, goddam%*$*&#&$#*%$#*%$&#%&$@%@#$&!#(@W#)@!#)!@(#!U@DF#KCPMDCP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111oneoneone
