I really like the flavor of the current sets. All the Frankenstein/Igor/Dracula stuff.

Yeah, I know I'm going to get trounced with the colorless deck. I just have a weird obsession with lists and wanted to go through all the combinations of (lack of) colors.
Actually, I'm not going to do the colorless deck. I'm going to do some mono-white. Now just to figure out what...

Edit: And I am going to prize uniqueness over winning-ness. I have no intention of copying an established deck.

Edit 2: Oh god yes, Innistrad has amazing flavor!
It's a bit sad they took down Savor the Flavor though. The replacement column has a really enthusiastic writer though, and that's nice.

So anyway, I was going bored through Gatherer (Wizards' card database) when I saw there was a Legends card called Angus Mackenzie as its actual name.
And then I saw on another card's flavor text that he had been murdered. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ha ha! And I happen to have the card that did it!

Good ol' Lady Orca. You may be an absolutely terrible card, but we'll always have Benalia!

(I managed to get two whole packs of Legends back in the day. The next time I was at the store, they'd sold out and never restocked. Lady Orca was the only Legend I got from those two packs. I was even excited to have her at the time, because she was slightly bigger than Craw Wurm! And couldn't be Terrored!)
...I'll pretend you got revived, Angus. Q.Q
Edit: Wait. Crap. Double post NOOOOOOOO

Once upon a time I made a landless deck. It actually halfway worked. Not as well as my skinny DD deck, or my overrun deck, but better than my unicorn deck.

Oh god. Curse of Exhaustion.
Lockdown deck!
LOCKDOWN DECK!
LOCKDOWN DECK!
I am going to make this.
Edit: Wait... wait... that'd be better for WU...
Edit: I'm thinking of maybe making a faithful hour deck but seeing as how I'd have to hit 5 health in the first place that seems better for WR... might work though...

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

This is a little later than AVR, but M13 looks like it's going to have Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker.

I like that they're finally introducing landtapping, a feature the fanbase has been clamoring for since the first game.

Planechase is very cool, maybe even better than archenemy, but I'm hoping that more complexity is put into the game and they finally put in PW's, infect and other features that are ignored, and nonbasic lands besides Terramorphic expanses. Maybe we'll even get a mana pool and *gasp* LLANOWAR ELVES!

/fruitless speculation because WOTC provably doesn't give a single fuck.

I hope they atleast fix all the bugs that ran rampant throughout BOTH M12 and M09.

Wait. People actually PLAY the magic pc and console games instead of just the real damn game?

Just... Why would you do that?

Because I don't have the time or money to buy real cards. Or anybody to play with who isn't half my age.

EDIT: I'm curious though...is this going to be downloadable DLC for DotP 2012 (for a nominal fee), or am I going to be expected to buy an entirely new f**king game? Because after the arrival state of the last one....ehh, not really feeling it.

It's definitely going to be a whole new game. WOTC's customer service is practically nonexistent, and this infuriated the fans at the official forums to no end, but they DID finally get a response. A lone, single response after months of waiting.

That response being "Sorry, there won't be any more updates to M12" and that's it. This is a whole new shebang. I'll personally be withholding my wallet and see if it's actually an honest-to-god improvement, or if it's just another shameless grab at the fans' money.

What, and the CCG isn't a shameless cash grab?

Nope, the fact that it's able to survive at all in this modern world is just a testament to how well the business model is run.

EDIT: though I'm willing to debate on... certain unsavory facets of card production. Like the creation of mythic rares driving up the price of a good deck to ludicrous levels through artificial scarcity.

I'm more referring to how the videogame is like the bastard step-child that doesn't get any love or attention, only existing as the gateway to the much more expensive and less graphically appealing Magic the Gathering: Online.
