I remember playing Black Market for awhile last year (They've got a free version here, along with Goblin Warmachine). I think it's pretty fun, though it seems to get a bit repetitive once you know how to trade efficiently. Haven't gotten too far in the story though, I'm hoping some new mechanics get introduced along the way. It's worth noting that since the last time I played it they've added some significant new content which tells me these guys really care about their games, and don't just drop development once it's "finished".

So screwed up. I've been trying to buy this bundle for several days now. So far I've used a MasterCard credit card, a MasterCard debit card, a Visa prepaid card, and a friend's American Express credit card - all through both Paypal and Moneybookers. Every one of them has more than $6 on them, yet nothing works, and all of the people I talk to over the phone about the issue (my bank, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express) are clueless as to what is wrong. It's like the entire financial system is conspiring to keep me from buying the bundle.

Finally just got a friend to gift me the money on Paypal so I could pay it with the Paypal balance without having to use the stupid cards, and it worked fine. The funny part? I was able to gift the money right back to him using the same card that kept failing to buy from GamersGate. Wtf?

Only thing I can think is maybe all these US based companies have some kind of block on out of country purchases or something, since GG is in Sweden. Never had this issue until recently though - just like 6 months ago I bought a game off GamersGate with the same card that fails to work now.

As much trouble as I went through to buy the damn thing, someone should be paying ME :P

I have been trying to find a way to buy some gift copies, but can't seem to work it out and I have not received a response from Alex or GG. I am sure they are super busy right now, so if anyone has figured it out, please let me know.

I'm not certain on two copies of the bundle, but I bought Kenshi on Gamersgate a few months back. After buying this bundle, I can just select it in my games list and see that I have "(2 copies)." The section on the right gives me a button to either gift the second copy or take its serial number directly.

I haven't bought multiple bundles, but the one I did get has given me the option to gift them to other people from my, er, shelf. It says that as long as it hasn't been downloaded/key revealed, it can be transferred.

Thanks, I bought a few so I could help some people out if they don't get a chance to buy the bundle before it ends.

That Black Market game has some serious balance issues.  I'm level 3 (playing story mode) right now and I can destroy level 20 pirates in one hit with some guns I scanned and found in the asteroids (which seem to always be there).

So I bought this mostly for Kenshi, only to find out that I can't adjust the mouse sensitivity, its over sensitivity is throwing me off playing this game, and the shitty UI isn't helping.

yup, it's still in alpha, so that is most likely going to change over time. let them know about it on their forum so they can cater to you.

Thanks, I will. I know this is an alpha so I'm not going to rage and cut them some slack. :).

Early alpha at that so now is good time to provide feedback on any issues before things are finalised and become harder to change.

A heads up on Kenshi: there seem to have been issue with new release and autoupdate is broke and files got garbled. So stay on 0.22.0 until further notice.

As for bundle: It's going to cut close on "shhh... it's a secret!" unlock. Only 27 and half hours remain we're still over 7000$ from the unlock threshold. Still hoping we'll make it and that the bonus is worth it. But what ever happens, I'm sure keep my eyes for next Indie Fort Bundle.

Not related to bundle but I'll post it here: Just noticed that Avernum: Escape From the Pit that was just released today got -20% discount on GamersGate already  :P. Euro buyers are getting short end of the stick again as it's $=€ all over again. Buy it from .uk store if you can't buy in dollars.

Here's the discounted prices: $7.96 / €7.96 / £5.56. There's no timer so don't know how long it lasts.

I was going to say that,
Quote
"Man, I wish that these bundles ever had games which interest me. The only game which even caught my eye was Cardinal Quest, and that was because I expected it to be about being a Cardinal trying to accrue money and influence to be elected pope, but such a game does not exist. "
But I feel as if I've already said that, and then I looked at Kenshi and was intrigued. While I'm reluctant to pay money for a game in alpha, I suppose it's worth it considering that I'm getting a bunch of other games even though I'll never play them.

Actually, there IS a game where you can do that. I can't remember what it is, but it had a sort of a vague Sims feel, in a medieval setting, and a few different major paths you could choose (or do simultaneously) including attempting to become king, pope, a major merchant, or bandit lord. I know there were a few sequels too... Hrm. One of the more interesting elements I thought was that you could marry and have kids... and if you died (I usually got assassinated by political rivals) you'd continue as your child. And, depending on what kind of toys/schools you sent your kids too, their attributes were modified appropriately.

I think you mean either The Guild (aka Europa 1400) or it's sequal The Guild 2. I think both allow you to try career in the clergy but don't remember if you could be elected Pope.

Head's up on the Bundle: Timer was extetended by 3 days so there's plenty of time left.

Ah, yes, thank you! I may have been off on the details; it's been a while.
