This can only end two ways.

Either these seven miraculous minds manage to create something so amazing, so awe-inspiring, that they will be the first to beat DF2012.

Or the whole thing will completely crash and burn resulting in a new level of epic fail.

Either way, it's going to be the Dwarfiest. Thing. Ever.

I'm generally unavailable during the week. Usually weekends are alright for me, but not this weekend. Then again, as an ongoing project, it's doubtful all seven of us will be present at any given point in time anyway, I assume.

If I understand right, you're saying that it'll take a while, so it's fine if not all of us are on at once - we'll be on at some point before it's done. If so, that's pretty true. We could start it whenever we have a guarantee that four or five of us are on (and of course Acetech, as he's recording).

As for me, I'm fine with just about whenever (I'm going to just say this and hope it turns out to be true).

I agree entirely. Such a meeting would likely include [re]introductions, which will grant any observers (or later listeners, as it will be recorded) a solid frame of reference for each overseer, as well as giving each of us a decent idea of who we will be working with. Also, during the first meeting, we can each clearly define our individual goals or visions pertaining to the project, or what particular skills we bring to the table.

Even if such things are obvious (or any of us wrongly assume that they are), it will help solidify the effort and give the project focus and vision, even in a member's absence.

The voyeur in me finds this whole ordeal very intriguing. Let痴 have a wager!

Ten quid says that tempers flare within the first... let痴 say five sessions, and one individual dominates all the rest. As for exactly who that individual will be, well I知 sure we all have our own opinions and I知 sure that all of those opinions are exactly the same.

I for one cannot wait for it to start, but I知 not sure whether I知 more interested in the Dwarf Fortress or the social science. I知 leaning heavily towards the latter.

Whispers will be the raging leader and subdue the rest while I idly manipulate him into certain directions and craft my own ultimate fortress, while he gets painted as the bad guy.  No one will have a clue until a few years after the last solid gold brick has been placed on the phallus.

Mister Whispers, really? I mean he certainly talks a lot and is a figurehead of a fellow, but he does not strike me as the dominating type. I知 not sure that he壇 be a suitable puppet-ruler for you malevolent machinations.
