This was project I decided to do because I was happy that you can now pit enemies easily. The fort's name is Weathertwists btw.

The entrance way to the temple:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Hall of Sacrifices, lined with platinum statues
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Pit of Offerings, in which the sacrifice is violently dismembered and then drained out of
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Chalice itself:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Drainage Hatch at the bottom
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Catacombs in which the Chalice drains into to honor the dwarven dead with the blood and gore of their enemies.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'll post some more stuff tommorrow. Can you guys give me more ideas?

This is awesome. Try to summon Armok from it's depths.

It's times like these when I wish blood had the same properties as magma/water. Then you could actually fill the thing. Perhaps make some lovely mist generators.

Clearly, this represents six side-by-side wheelbarrows, as indicated by the right half of the icon.  The left half indicates they are carrying babies with hats in these wheelbarrows.

Presumably, they are lining up to dump them into the baby furnaces.

I would've done brass, but that's harder to get.

enemies pit -> dismember -> water flow pushes into chalice -> chalice fills -> chalice has drain into filled catacombs?

Pretty awesome.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

how about coat the catacombs in obsidian to give it that -dark- effect, plus chain up a necromancer down there and dump corpses in there, (Make the necromancer safe from the water some how though) then as an adventurer come back and try to claim the treasure of Armok.

I actually slaughtered an entire town, and then went on a pilgrimage to the fort that I abandoned. I entered the halls, then I pulled the water lever, and then sacrificed my body for Armok. Blood for the blood god.

Easiest way is to head to the modding forums and download DFHack.  Then enter "ssense" command, and it'll run!  But, for my stonesense incurs massive drag time, to the point of slowing my computer to a crawl.  So I tend to use it sparingly and only to take quick looks.

I've seen plenty of Serpent Man Necromancers, which have the [Amphibious] and [Underswim] tags, which make them perfectly safe and happy under water. Watery graves with roaming undead would be awesome, but damn this thing is awesome already. Definitely something every fortress should have: difficult to build, awesome looking, extremely bloody.

Yeah but think about it, technically none of your dwarves will become lifeless... just throw them in the pit of armok and they come back to life! (And throw gobbos down there if you want)
