I want a computer, kevin spacey to be exact, that smiles at me for being a clone.

Then I will be satisfied.

Great. All this talk of voice synthesizers has me being haunted again by 'Wheat Farm M Alpha's in my head.

Well, yeah, you certainly won't want to try to make it sing for you, but it will be really handy seeing as the average ship will have multiple DCPUs. Particularly when it comes to warnings; a simple display prompt on a DCPU telling you your engine is overheating isn't as useful as an audio warning you can hear from most of the ship.

Maybe we'll get sound synthesizers that we can make custom klaxon sounds with!

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

From Notch's Twitter: "If I can find a good voice synthesizer, one of the possible outputs for the DCPU is a text to speech speaker. "Good morning, Notch!""

This is actually relevant to my interests. Way more than Minecraft.

I'll be happy if I can program a ship's computer that's creepily in love with the main character and will occasionally try to kill them for 'cheating' on it.

I really really like the sound of this game so much, and seems like it would get a generation of kids to start learning coding to play it haha, so in reality your learning and playing at the same time... I know his would make me more inclined to learn more and more I depth about programming.

The only thing which I look at and think hmm I do NOT like the sound of this is that players can create viruses.... how is that going to work exactly is it going to be like back doors into your ship and then off your generators and stuff, or something alot more malicious like as in breaking your game Ect...

And how long till you think Notch will release it for us to buy for alpha ? :D

Don't know. He doesn't have a game with the basis framework already done to spring board from. There no previous development time to know how long it'll take.

Ohh no I mean the game itself is BORING! so much so that its entire fanbase is just people who find the text to speach hillarious.

I somehow think that he'll at least put basic measures in place to prevent people spreading malware and shit inside the game that breaks your computer or game. For one thing, I think it would brick the servers, so...yeah, I doubt he'll leave his investment entirely unprotected.

and why not spread viruses in game to crash the computers?

Sounds like gameplay if you are going to include functional computers.

I meant to break the computer that you're playing the game on, not a computer inside the game.
