The strange part is that I never use tilesets.

question: if a minecart acts as a support to something above it, does it do this while moving still?
And if so can you hang something off a minecart as the support?

If so: Anti gravity Cart Generator -a minecart track going in circles with minecarts on-

The resulting madness fortress would be glorious and veyr floatarific.

I just happen to have a ridiculous metabolism, which pisses me off because I hate skinny bitches.

To the day-after-easter sales!

I should be so lucky for this to work for me. =/

Tonight, I had a very short dream about Dwarf Fortress. I saw a small part of a fortress, and it had some minecarts. Their symbol was 0, but they had a very stupid color like orange or purple. I didn't see any tracks.
It also was a tileset I don't recall seeing before.

I had a dream last night that there was a new devlog entry, and he wrote something about a hitherto unknown girlfriend named Katarina.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

OH GOD A GRRL LETZ CYBER

Why kaijyuu, I had no idea you were so keen to become a horribly mangled corpse.

If you were intent on a grizzly death then you need only have asked. Am I not gracious?

You can place any construction atop a track section that you can normally build on solid ground.

The minecart collides with the cabinet and the severed sock flies off in an arc!

Also, track jumping is confirmed, as well as newton balls.  Somehow, this can result in a dwarven machinegun, where carts are loaded into a section of track, packed in 5 deep, and then fired out in quick succession somehow.  It would have to involve one cart being used to "jackhammer" the deepest cart and send the further ones flying.

Also minecart timers are confirmed.

Has Toady confirmed if the powered rollers will need a power source (water wheel or windmill), or are they just magically powered by nothing like weapon traps are?

He has not directly say "rollers require power" but he has described them as "powered" and he has stated "you can mechanically power carts".  Everything points to the end that rollers are powered by axles.  In fact I think he may have said "since you need an axle connection" somewhere.
