It's a good thing I already mostly use ramps in my forts.

Now the real question is, will we have minecart Loopty-loops?

Sanic?

All I want is to set up an automatic camera to take my dwarve's pictures as they coast by at high speed. Then I realized that that technology is just not possible given the setting, and so I'll resolve to make the next best thing, that being to spray my dwarves with freezing water and then immediately stop the minecart ride in a below freezing area.

That way, the excited and giddy expression on their faces as they enjoy their first rollercoaster will be preserved forever.

Waaaiit a second... I feel a compatibility break... This is a very significant change. And next, changing how mining itself works....

This feels like 0.37, just saying :p

Or leading into it, at least. Fundamental thing, mining...

Toady seem to be treating this as part of the bug fixing cycle. Other things we're going to be getting during this cycle is different reaction to being on fire, cleaning job changes and how contaminants are spread.

First 20 nauseating spirals downwards, then a quick dip in the magma river and finally a nice slam into a wall at maximum speed. Let's see which charred goblin corpse lands closest to the refuse stockpile!

only problem is that it's making a permanent (maybe not) hole into the fortress, unless you can put doors over the tracks or floodgates or perhaps make tracks go over bridges.

Easy, you just need a storage ring to divert the cart while your fortress is closed.

Now, I want a lot of tracks criss-crossing the landscape in front of my fortress. And then see the goblins trying to get through.
