The real situation is that you don't have enough plates, enough syrup, or enough gravy to accommodate the sausages.

I've been to America approximately eleventy billion times now and I will never understand why the hell anyone would put syrup on a sausage.

It depends on what the sausage was cured with.  Some sausages are already sweet, such as a maple cured sausage.  These taste divine with syrup.

However, it is a crime against gastronomy to pour syrup on an italian or other savory sausage.

In Sweden we put jam on our meatballs. Your argument is american.

Does not compute. Syrup is a gloopy, sickly-sweet substance best used in delicious steamed syrup sponge pudding.

No really, I don't get it, at all. All meat is savoury therefore all sausages are savoury. Syrup is a desert substance, never shall the two meet.

Head asplode.

Beans belong with sausage, not syrup.

Meatball is not exactly sausage.
Jam is not syrup.

Your argument is swedish.  For goodness sake, you people make lutfisk.

Maple cured sausage is cured with maple sugar instead of more ordinary sausage spices, smoke, and salt.  As such, it has more in common with a glazed ham being served with candied yams than it does with sausage gravy.

I can see you have never stayed in the US long enough for thanksgiving.

Candied Yams
(I suggest using sweet potatoes instead of real yams though. Better flavor and texture.)

The swedish chef is older. He was part of the muppets show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvDvTnTGjgQ

I noticed that only a fixed number of clowns spawn in the hfs at any given time, only being replaced upon termination.  Successful containment of the clowns without termination should halt further generation of clowns inside the clowncar.
What will kill your FPS via bug #1340: Walling off HFS kills FPS ( http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=106481.0 )

It works to contain a group of demons (have done it, managed to wall off almost completely using this, as mentioned before).  It doesn't cause framerate problems.  Maybe because you're only talking about 3 or 4 demons instead of 100, maybe because they path like wildlife and not furniture-seeking missiles, maybe because they can't even evaluate very many tiles anyways because they're tightly constrained, maybe because the hit for walling off hfs has been greatly exaggerated.

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...<P>It should be pretty fun though.

Marshmallows? Baked? With sweet potatoes? And you people eat this alongside the main course?

Whelp, that's it. I’m going to invade America, because you obviously cannot look after yourselves.
When next we meet you shall refer to me as God-Empress of Mankind KodKod, and there will be no candied yams for anyone!

Yes I know.  However, the archetype of "unintelligable, insane swedish chef" is older still.

Swedish chefs would have to be insane to consider lutfisk a delicacy.
