So, how's the newest version so far?
« on: April 03, 2012, 09:46:12 am »

I confess that I've not been able to so much as look at the game lately, what with my classes and all. I've been meaning to get into it on my down time (lol), but...college, y'know?

'sgood. Making clothes not only now has a point but is damn well necessary for your forts' survival! Whamabam! Slightly increased difficulty.
Also, the thing with the bars is now fixed, a breastplate requires three bars.

I like the new animal training and am even happier now to see goblins for their clothes, vampires are lots of fun, though there needs to be something like a banishment punishment, they are too hard to get rid of.

Still a little bit more crashy than 31.25, but since we're still on a way lower number that is to be expected. Clothing and possession changes alone are worth the update. And the new animal training system.

I haven't noticed any crashiness.

I had to modify my embark profile to include pigtail seeds!  Curse you, Armok! :)

(and I haven't personally seen any crashes)

Use DF as your essay topic. Who cares what the question is. DF is the answer to EVERYTHING! :p

Alternatively, utilize the life blood of the earth.

That is to say, use magma.

Philosiraptor ponders: Do naked mole dogs get bad thoughts for being naked?

Have them killed. Nothing solves a problem quite as effectively as simply having it killed.

Well somebody did use DF for a college project once. IIRC it was a government class and he based his paper on how DF simulates both communism and capitalism and how the simulations functioned/when they broke from reality/etc. (This was back when the economy still existed in-game!)
