Yes, the caravan works.  And remember, you need a bad-ass stone tower in the center of the map.

And the tower must menace with spikes of bone (Can you build stuff out of bone, like wwalls and stuff?)

I probably won't get to the stone work in my year. I'm just placing a nice wooden floor for the first level of the tower, taking a bit of time really.

Hunter Ber loses one of his arms while fighting a badger sow. The badger sow is killed by the squad, but the arm is lost forever :( One of the more exciting happenings here sofar...
