"If you don't mind, Miya, I would rather not risk my still mostly fleshy body, when my only means of attack are a pocket mass murder calculator I've no experience with, and the potential to blindside the guy with a mini-lightning-launcher. But I have an idea of what I actually can do. I think I should get to it."

Anton takes out what tools he has, and starts working on a small modification to his equipment, and one of his drones.

Take the MFM, jury-rig a holder for it that attaches to the datapad. Make the datapad establish a precisely calibrated connection to one of the mapping drones, using the drone's own sensors to accurately gauge the relative position and distance, and make it display that coordinate information in easily-readable format alongside the drone's video feed.

The practical upshot is a remote camera drone that allows for precisely targeted attacks with the MFM, using the drone as a reference point offset from the MFM's position.

Go to the area Jim arrived in, letting Steve guide me and Lukas to get there ASAP. Scan with cameyes and other senses once there and search for Amper.

You stay with Miyamoto, because you're too big to go down with Jim.

"I've been thinking I should go on a diet. You know, lose a few tons."
"Ah, Lukas, glad to see ya. Yeah, if you ever have the tokens, you might ask the AM to replace your bulky armor with something equally protective, but more high-grade and movable.
I'd recommend battlesuit plate, or even Avatar plate if you can afford it. Couple that with an upgrade to your actuators and a decent melee weapon, maybe a jet boost system or even a rocket pack, and you'd become a potent melee threat as well as still dishing out the pain from range."

Jim action: Scan around with cameyes, search for where the Amper has headed, then head out in that direction. Be careful, spread out team, think about how to ambush him if we are forced to go to him.

Go full bat vision and begin searching for Xavier, start by checking the floor for tracks where he may or may not have rolled through molten metal.

If i spot him drop back and inform the group of his location.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

You get it to work mostly right. Unfortunately it seems like the distance tracking has a few hiccups and is occasionally inaccurate.

Steve, the amp specialist's life-support wheelchair - is it dependent on a habitable atmosphere to function properly? Even if it's outfitted with onboard oxygen supplies or recycling and an automatic switch to start using them, which I would think it would be, how long can they last?

((Instead of horrific chemicals, we dump in sulfur hexaflouride. Heavier-than-air gas that will kill him by inert gas asphyxiation. Or perhaps carbon dioxide, which we can put in as a solid, and is an anesthetic, and at extremely high concentrations, a narcotic and a poison.

It doesn't really matter how long any supplies or recyclers of his lasts. Though the longer the do, the longer we have to keep watch before he's gone. At least once he's out, it'll be done in minutes, with no collateral damage from the gas, and it will be easy to vent afterwards.))

The target's path is fairly obvious, once everyone has turned on their various methods of seeing. It's a big molten hole headed off south, in the vague direction of the main building and the sword beyond.

A new guy arrives at the top of the hole, out of breath.
Dubley shouts down "Hello! Anyone down there? Steve sent me."
Peer into the hole. How deep is it?

advance south whilst cowering behind my shield.

Try to remain as inconspicuous as possible with all these headlamp people behind me.

Hey steve, what kind of range does this guy have on his detection amps?

Assess viability of going the long way round to cut him off, assuming he continues to progress roughly as he has been.

Stand well back from hole in the meantime. No need for us all to die at once.
